Just checked out the first couple rounds of the first 3 weight classes...SDSU ranked guys all went down early to unranked opponents. Definitely not peaking too soon. Always like to see them do well!
Apparently he needed someone working at Casey's to tell him he was going to lose to CSUB.Gaitin from ISU goes down in the first round. Took care of PK but wasn't ready for the unranked kid from CSUB.
Saw that. Wild stuff.Gaitin from ISU goes down in the first round. Took care of PK but wasn't ready for the unranked kid from CSUB.
Only 3 top 10 teams and over 120 ranked wrestlers, but probably not quite the Soldier Solute.CK really weak this year.
Yikes.
I understand you just found out your football program is back to irrelevancy, but don't take it out on us.Only 3 top 10 teams and over 120 ranked wrestlers, but probably not quite the Soldier Solute.
With no UNI there be nice if schwab came to SSOnly 3 top 10 teams and over 120 ranked wrestlers, but probably not quite the Soldier Solute.
I don’t give two craps about football.I understand you just found out your football program is back to irrelevancy, but don't take it out on us.
To be fair, our Hawks used to go to Midlands not a pud in house tournament. Our stud recruits wrestled at Midlands not the freshman bracket at Luther. This is only 1 reason we are struggling, but it is no doubt, 1 reason.I understand you just found out your football program is back to irrelevancy, but don't take it out on us.
It shows how close these guys are and how good D 1 wrestling is. Also, it shows that you always have to be ready. Like the OSU old timers used to say. "There ain't a horse that can't be rode and a cowboy that can't be throwed."Gaitin from ISU goes down in the first round. Took care of PK but wasn't ready for the unranked kid from CSUB.
Based on past reputation and competition, are you going to try and convince me that this year's CK is a top notch tournament?Only 3 top 10 teams and over 120 ranked wrestlers, but probably not quite the Soldier Solute.
Not as strong as past years, yes. Weak, no.Based on past reputation and competition, are you going to try and convince me that this year's CK is a top notch tournament?
No one has ever claimed the SS is a top competition.
And WTF does the SS have to do with my opinion of the Cliff Keen?
Weak is the perfect description. Not as strong as past years, yes. Weak, no.
it is still the toughest regular season tournament of the season. Seems weird to call it “weak” when it’s the best tournament there is.
I bet your wear white framed sunglasses, put gel in your hair, and a gut that covers your short dongWeak is the perfect description.
Hey it worked out pretty well the last time Penn State hired a coach away from Iowa State...I understand you just found out your football program is back to irrelevancy, but don't take it out on us.
Don't give up your day job to work as a comedian!I bet your wear white framed sunglasses, put gel in your hair, and a gut that covers your short dong
True that my friend! It shows how close these guys are and how good D 1 wrestling is. Also, it shows that you always have to be ready. Like the OSU old timers used to say. "There ain't a horse that can't be rode and a cowboy that can't be throwed."
#22 just beat Frost by 7 at 149. Maybe Pinero isn’t done yetSemi finals now on Flo.
So weak, the team that beat us by 6 is in it.I bet your wear white framed sunglasses, put gel in your hair, and a gut that covers your short dong
Then Larkin beat Valencia 9-6, Valencia got first takedown, got to Larkins legs a bunch but had a hard time finishing. Larkin had two third period takedowns to win it. Joy is definitely going to be in the thick of things come March.Joy is a problem at 149. Dominated Larkin 15-0
You from India?Let’s see weak ISU beat Iowa so Iowa weak? You really need to relive you past somewhere else.
Does that mean it's still not weak? Hey, we're a top 4 team but the SS is weak AF.So weak, the team that beat us by 6 is in it.
Nice. Didn’t catch the Valencia/Larkin match. Both of them are really good. My top 3 for 149 right now are SVN, Joy and Larkin. Then Larkin beat Valencia 9-6, Valencia got first takedown, got to Larkins legs a bunch but had a hard time finishing. I agree with the top 3. Hope block can keep building on what he has done so far this year, definitely like how he has looked. He gets after it, some people on here will complain because he hasn’t scored a bunch of points but I think his offense will continue to trend upward. Things he has going for him though is he holds really good position on his feet, has been good on the mat, and has what seems to be an endless gas tank. His length will also give a lot of guys problems. Look forward to seeing how the rest of his season goes.Nice. Didn’t catch the Valencia/Larkin match. Both of them are really good. My top 3 for 149 right now are SVN, Joy and Larkin.
Side note, Evans from UTV is tough and will be another good match for Block next week. He lost 8-2 to Joy yesterday.
No it was at the Clarion Open in November. Bo majored him!Wasn’t that freestyle too
Larkins vs Frosts and both matches had forfeits.2 medical forfeits halfway through the finals
Should count as a L... but I'm not even sure that hurts guys at nationals.2 medical forfeits halfway through the finals
You have him confused with me.I bet your wear white framed sunglasses, put gel in your hair, and a gut that covers your short dong
Dresser wants both Larkins...BADLarkins vs Frosts and both matches had forfeits.
