NCAA cleared him to play today against pigs....ha ha. If it had been State, we would be facing severe sanctions.

It would be comical, if it didn't burn my insides with the heat of a million Vesuvius's.

I understand this thread will likely turn into a bashing Bracky thread, and that's probably justified. However, I would like to know why we continue to play by a different set of rules as the big boys?

Our Athletic Department has some explaining to do

I just want one question answered in regards to the Will Redmond situation: Why 18 games?

I understand that Will and Mississippi State did something wrong, and should have received some punishment, but why 18 games?

Where does that number come from?

How was it calculated?

I realize that Bracky "recommended" 18 games, but what set precedent led to that recommendation?

Had we recommended 1 half to 2 games, would that have been accepted?

I realize that is more than 1 question, but they are also asking basically the same thing: What the hell happened in this situation that made MSU believe they had to go outside of NCAA precedent to penalize their own student athlete?

He probably just got through playing 18 holes of golf and had that number on his mind.

It's obvious. 18 games. One game for each year Redmond has been alive.

I've said this before..but why in the world don't we at least appeal to get his redshirt year reinstated?? Precedents have been set and Redmond would have still been suspended more games than the last few players combined without that year. What's it hurt to appeal?? Well, unless we have to appeal to ourselves..which I'm assuming we will deny.

My apologies to Bracky. From his latest tweet..

..it appears he's too busy counting tubas and critiquing concessions at a high school football game.

@MSUcompliance: @gscantweet @stricklinMSU highschool game report Biloxi 21 St Martin 14 half. Tubas=6. No nacho report. No umbrella needed

I agree, we should most certainly appeal
