On the final drive how well do you guys think Stoops managed it? I think it was almost perfect. Kinda surprised Louisville didn't use any timeouts till the end. Thoughts?

I agree, but did you hear the idiot announcers saying, "KY is letting a lot of clock expire, what are they doing" They were doing what they should have done, fact is they left a few seconds too much on the clock

Those Homer POS just desperately wanted Stoops to leave enough time for their precious Cards to go down and at least tie it.

I thought Stoops managed the clock fine. What I didn't understand was why Petrino didn't call time once the clock got under a minute.
We had all our timeouts and if he stops it outside of fg range or borderline we can still run our entire offense. Thus giving more plays to getting closer to set up an easier kick

Once we went conservative and was obvious we was going to play for a fg he used them. Wasn't like that fg was a gimmie. He calls tos early we stay some What aggressive with clock having more time. Thus getting more plays to get closer. Catch 22

Petrino screwed up by not calling timeout at the 1 minute mark it cost his team at least 30 seconds

Yes, Petrino is the one who mucked up the end-of-game clock management. Both sides were shaky at the end of the first half, we basically gave them the ball near midfield with some time left but the clock ran out on them, but Stoops did a pretty good job on limiting what Louisville had at the end of the game, with help from Bobby.

Yeah, I was shocked that Petrino didn't use one of his three timeouts and let 30 seconds or so runoff...when there was 1:00 left.

Yeah, those announcers were awful. Once UK was in FG range it seemed pretty obvious we were going to run clock and center it up.
