Between football & basketball, OU’s record is awful in close games this year. “At least they fought hard” doesn’t seem to have the same encouragement anymore. What good is a close loss? It’s like coming in as the 2nd option for a recruit. It is much more aggravating than getting blown out.

I think the close losses in basketball to good teams is only because it is hard for higher ranked teams to be motivated when playing a team that is unranked with a losing record.

Officials aren't helping that.

When you go almost 9 minutes without scoring a basket from the field you simply are not going to win. Today vs Texas OU didn’t hit a shot with 8 plus minutes left until they hit the 3 at the end of regulation.

At least vs UT, the officiating sucked both ways. The best this team can hope for is the NIT but unless they finish at least .500 I doubt they get to it.

If the men could have hit their FT in the last minute, they win

OU held KU without a FG for almost 13 minutes in Allen during a 2nd half stretch. Of course, shooting 30 FT’s in that same half does tend to offset that a bit.

Patty’s interview Monday was funny…she was very matter of fact about what she was looking for in the UCLA game then she says, “but the girls had other ideas…”. In other words the girls determined to make a statement

I guess it might be heresy, but I think Storako might be OUr new number one pitcher.
