With the basketball game tonight, when will they have his last show? I am interested in hearing the callers light him up.

Someone please asking if he is aware that the entire stadium, including opposing coaches and players all know when we are facing a 2nd and 10 because the 1st down 30yard out pattern was incomplete, that we are running the ball. We all know this because 97% of the time the last 6 games that's what we do. This almost always results in a 3rd and 8 or longer which also leads to a high percentage of 3 and outs? Is he happy with Dawson's predictable play calling?

I do have to give Stoops credit on his call-in shows....he takes the heat and responds straightforward and professional. Some of the hardcore people like Dale who call in can complain/ask all of the hard questions they want, but its pretty pointless. We have heard all Stoops has to say and we all know the standard responses.

These call in shows are a very simple way for coaches to supplement their income, paid by advertisers etc. When Ray Goff was the HC at UGA he'd get pretty intense calls and the story goes he told himself: "This show is paying for my daughter's college education." Pretty healthy way to look at it IMO. I imagine most coaches look at it the same way.

I'd much rather Stoops be out recruiting than answering questions now that the season is over. '

Agreed.....But, what Stoops doesnt seem to understand is most UK fans can deal with losing if the other team is just flat out more talented. What is driving us nuts is subpar effort, bad coaching, and even worse game management. It's not just about recruiting.

Anyone listening to the show? I'm listening (trying) via iHeart and the audio 'freezes' in the same spot on 'Steve from Lexington' question. I can't get past that call......

Was explained later by the host that the show schedule and composition was set in September. Stoops was not dodging the fans according to Neal what's-his-name. I did think the calls were screened based on the short segment I heard

It doesn't matter he is toast...schedule to tough and he doesn't have a defensive line ... Recruited to many Snacks & receivers...the game is all about the front line

If he was out on recruiting calls, the show should have been scheduled for another time. Gonna be a long offseason.

Most of us thought he signed more good lineman then any previous staff had..here are a few signed..
4* Richardson OT.
5.7-3* J Krok..LT
5.7 3* Larubbio OG
5.7 3* Meadows OT
5.6-3* Haynes OG
4*-Z..
5.7-3* lewis
4*-C.J.
5.7-3*Ware
4* Hatcher
5.7-3* Miggons/ Bell
5.6-3* Elam
5.6-3* Middleton
Along with Daniels/Allen/... I really think these two will be special.. They could be program changers..especially daniels, he seems to have great parents and that goes a long way in having success in life..
I did this list from memory but as you can see if that class would have been what everybody thought our oline play would have looked better. This year IMO is on the staff..
If stoops will be successful will depend on if he recognizes his weakness and his staffs horrible coaching job and how he addresses that issue..
A good staff could have had a 8-4 record this year..I agree our front 7 on defense is our week point besides LT,but in my opinion with the right pieces next year can be a success..
A thought I had was would you have rather pull one of the vandy/ul game out and keep this staff and call this year ok . or would you rather have it end like this and make changes which could lead to better things down the road.
If they somehow would have pulled out a 6-6 or 7-5 record which was very possible, I feel like would have been fools gold and we would have had a major let down in the near future.. Because this staff wasn't going to cut it in the sec..I would rather have it end like this and know where things are then go to a poor bowl and end up stuck with this staff for 2-3 years... I've always said player development is as important as recruiting... We lack in that department along with in game adjustments to complete meltdowns in ST &defensive alignments along with the offensive scheme/executions...Also think he needs to make change in his SC program...There is something lacking there as well..

Good catch, Caveman, and a better memory. :)

I looked at the names of some of the posters, and some are relative unknowns?? Maybe they got sent back to the place Smith came from?
