OP is one of those guys who hates CNN and Rex, right? But he's also the first to tell us about the latest happenings at CNN. I find that fascinating.

I don't find it fascinating at all. Assuming that he actually does hate it, well, of course, he's going to gloat if it folds. It doesn't mean that he spends all day watching it.
I mean I guess? I think it's a little odd to hate a news network to the point that you're following what's going on and then want to create a thread gloating that their + sidebar app or whatever it is failed. I mean, you said it yourself. Assuming he hates it, well, of course he's going to gloat if it holds. I think my man (op) needs a hobby.

But to contribute to the topic at hand, if you're CNN it probably is a little worrisome that your big side project/experiment failed so quickly. I also take it as a positive. We need less of that from all the news networks, not more.

When Discovery took over Warner not long after CNN+ launched, they said it was a bad decision from the get go. Believe I read that they will be laying off most of the people involved with it.
If nobody watches your "free" network, why create the same type of content and charge people for it? Stupid decision. I hope all these "news" outlets fail. Even fox. TV and papers that are "news" should all die an embarrassing death like cnn+.

Saw a funny tweet from Spicer.

CNN+ didn’t even last a full Scaramucci

What about moderates who thought Trump was a POS dating back to his days as a liberal NYC Democrat in the 80s, 90s and 2000s. Shady con man is a shady con man regardless of party affiliation.
Yeah, what about moderates? šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

Yeah, much safer bet to go with the career corrupt politician who enriches themselves at the expense of a taxpayer and selling government favors. That's what we need and they never lie.

Are you implying they don’t exist and everyone should pick a color and staunchly cheer it on like a sports team with the inability to see a single fault with team color of choice?

Politics aren’t black and white despite our awful two-party system. There’s plenty of purple folks out there.
Wow. How about take a comment completely out of context and run it down a rabbit hole. Unbelievable.

Dude you are not a moderate. You have never voted repub once in your life. You are just too embarrassed to admit to being a liberal, as you should be, and too stupid to change.

You hate religion and something something climate change something and that's it. Oh And hate trump just because. Just own it. Good Lord.

Just yet another example that social media is not real life. Social media is driven by bots that drive algorithms.

Companies think certain things are popular because a Chinese paid bot farm drives trends, so they act on what they see. That's why they're so shocked every time when the real world results don't match. You'd think they'd figure it out by now but they haven't.

Why is China the only one deserving of being singled out for using bots? Most social media content is generated by bots and if you name a random industrialized country, chances are they are running an extensive social media bot program, either by the government or a private group trying to advance their political interests. Or in the case of wrestling, to hate on AEW lol

I voted for GW Bush in 2004 and voted for our current Republican state ag commissioner, treasurer and secretary of state in their most recent elections. I voted for the Republican Judge-executive and a Republican magistrate in the county I live in.

Yes, I do hate religion. I've never said a word about climate change. I've hated Trump since he was trying to run for office as a Democrat in the 90s and 2000s. I am very socially liberal and never once tried to hide it. Fiscally, I'm probably more aligned with you and I don't want to take your guns away.

Broad brushing people is silly. I hold liberal and conservative positions. But sure, if calling me a liberal makes you feel better, I'll be a liberal. No need to be a dick about it. Lol.

The world would be a better place if all the 24/7 news networks, rather it be traditional cable/satellite or streaming only, disappeared.

Makes you wonder who bank rolled it and was it just a front. Everyone and their brother knew that it would not last. Only a moron would pay for that.
I think I read it cost $300M and it was the brainchild of the previous ā€œheadā€ of CNN and I think they are firing like 500 people. I don’t know what shocked me more, the fact that they thought someone wanted to pay for their drivel or that they actually have that many employees total.

Aside from it being funny that pretentious ******** like CNN and Rex Chapman failed publicly (which makes me a bad person for finding funny, I guess), I am hopeful that failures like this will start to put a nail in the coffin of the explosion of making EVERY. SINGLE. THING. a streaming subscription. Consumers are getting $10/month'ed to death with it.

I have no idea how many streaming services my wife and I pay for every month and we are only two people and watch our finances reasonably carefully. HBO Max, Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, whatever BS ESPN thing I have to subscribe to this week to watch John Calipari be obnoxious, Microsoft Office, etc. I'd love to watch the Eric C. Conn documentary but it is on Apple TV+ and I'm not signing up for yet another subscription just for that.

I'd love to see that business model get spectacularly kicked in the *** a few more times so that we see far less of companies finding one thing that consumers really want and then scheming ways to get them to sign up for subscriptions they barely use.
