Freshman guard Craig Sword will be playing point guard
this year, along with Trivante Bloodman, who has one year of college
experience.

Sword may be more of a natural shooting guard, but Ray said he feels confident in his ability to run the point. (The kid can shoot for sure)

Ray said junior college transfer forward Colin Borchert has put on
around 15 pounds of weight, giving him a little more muscle to bump
around at the four-spot.

Freshman center Gavin Ware, Ray says, arrived on campus at 290 pounds,
but strength coach Richard Akins has him down to 273, with an ultimate
goal of 260 pounds. (Why wasn't the RSS losing weight?)

Zeidaks’ size and presence makes him look “like an SEC player. (But can he play?)

The Bulldogs open the season on the road at Troy, something Ray said was done before he got to campus. (Really, couldn't we find a home game?)

“I don’t think there’s any BCS schools opening up on the road against a mid-major,” Ray said.

Starting Five ??

Sword, Steele, S. Smith /Applewhite, Borchert, Ware/Lewis

I guess Fred Thomas is not on the team anymore..

as to your question on why Sidney wasn't losing weight? Did you not pay attention the past 3 years? The kid was more interested in anything but being in shape.

The rest of the college world better be afraid. We are about to find out what our program can do with a REAL coach!

you mock the guy that has come in fixing Stansbury's mess- and is really doing well since he got here. He found some decent talent at the last minute, he is installing a work ethic in the program, players that need to lose weight are actually doing it, etc....

Stansbury burns the house down but you want to clown the on the guy rebuilding it- amazing

Some people just love watching players fight in wife-beaters on national TV and national magazines making fun of our program I guess

he's entitled.

He'll have his fun for a couple of seasons as Ray cleans up the mess Stansbury left- and then Ray will have things turned around and the pouting will begin

Spoken like a true Crxxm supporter. Just exchange "Stansbury" for "The Kang".

If our new coach actually installs a motion offense with real motion, our players really respect him, our players hustle and give real effort all the time, we actually play real defense, and our players don't fight on national television, then I will be more than happy with the new coach. REAL or not...

I believe we can go 15-15 the talent is not as bad as some of you let on.Coach knows I liked Stansbury but face it they quit on him.Ray is a breath of fresh air these new kids will play for him or they will not be here. I just hope Ray will get players in here it hurt to lose Pollard and Hood.We will see never a dull moment around here.

I never said that we did not need a change or that Stansbury was perfect. What I did know was that getting rid of Stans would not be anything like as perfect of a situation as one idiot with followers on here made it out to be...

I think a few others and myself have been proven to be EXACTLY correct. Unlike Idiot34, I genuinely hope that Rick Ray is immensely successful. I would never hope that MSU loses just so I can hope to be right. But, that does not change the fact that we were correct. He was NEVER the intended hire or anything close to it.

We have hired a replacement. And he is already improving the program that Stansbury was burning to the ground.

The question was always "who could we get better than Stansbury?" - well, you are about to see in a couple of years that it wasnt that hard to do
