Just saw the video West Forsyth posted of Coach Snow announcing he is stepping down as the West Forsyth HC. Great coach, and a phenomenally better person. Best of luck on the next chapter for him and his family!
Agreed. Large 4A school that always has big numbers on their varsity and JV teams. Good community support in Clemmons, NC for the program and big crowds for home games. Definitely one of the plum head coaching jobs in NC.Lots of quality coaches will apply there
Beal would keep players and get new ones coming in. Seeing Willert & Beal going at it East v West would make for great TV.Paging Beal, paging Beal
I don't think it was the last 2 weeks. I think you could say its been since Covid. When you almost die it puts things into perspective.Surprised, I know the last two weeks were brutal but hopefully that didn’t have influence on this decision but wish him the best.
I too think this is a great job, one of the best in North Carolina in a prime area. A great place to live. The search will be interesting.
I'll disagree.Lots of quality coaches will apply there
You said no quality coaches then said Josh Mcgee. Why would Mcgee leave basically the same HS to go to West? He doesn't move the needle for the Titans.Josh McGee at Reagan graduated from WF.
I doubt he'd leave Reagan, but I suppose it's not beyond possibility.
He is back living in NC. Trying to pull him out of hibernation. He is actually working for UNC now.Where’s Chris Hughes when you need him?
Those team pages were a pain in the you know what. Archaic coding language on the back end.He is back living in NC. Trying to pull him out of hibernation. He is actually working for UNC now.
Trying to get him to bring the team pages back. No other web activity and NO message board just the team pages.
He said as much in the article.I don't think it was the last 2 weeks. I think you could say its been since Covid. When you almost die it puts things into perspective.
I'm not a betting man, but if I were id put a couple dollars on Coach Lowman throwing his hat in to the consideration for the West Forsyth job. He took over for a legendary coach in Coach Diamont. Made strides that nobody really could have predicted. The talent level in Pilot Mtn is going to be on the downward side of the last 4-5 years and as a career move it would probably be the right time for him to move on. He did ok in Bandys, achieved above and beyond anything we've done consistently in the past. I'd honestly like to see what he could do with a program like the one at WFWould Trent leave East Surry for the Titans?
Wrong. I said not a lot of quality coaches. You said no quality coaches then said Josh Mcgee. Why would Mcgee leave basically the same HS to go to West? He doesn't move the needle for the Titans.
Yes, I think you’ll see a lot of quality coaches apply…. McGee & Lowman would be perfect fits. However, I don’t see McGee going to West…he’s built his own legacy at Reagan and he’s younger than he looks( he could coach there 25 more years) but it does sound good and he did graduate from West and he was assistant there..YesWrong. I said not a lot of quality coaches.
Lowman is a hell of a coach but Surry County culture is different from forsyth county. With the open enrollment you have to have relationships with the little leagues that funnel groups of players to certain programs, also it's like the ncaa with the transfer portal you have to recruit your players to stay every season.I'm not a betting man, but if I were id put a couple dollars on Coach Lowman throwing his hat in to the consideration for the West Forsyth job. What's Oak Ridge? Isn't that a military school?Yes, I think you’ll see a lot of quality coaches apply…. McGee & Lowman would be perfect fits. Lowman is interesting, very interesting and it makes sense. I like Holcomb too but he’s like McGee and kinda has his own legacy at Oak Ridge but I know he misses the CPC.
This is why he would do great. He gets players to the next level and the best I've seen in this area. He is in Surry but folks in Stokes speak highly. He would give East a run in few years because the talent would come.Lowman is a hell of a coach but Surry County culture is different from forsyth county. My bad Oak Grove… lol. I will edit correct that. What's Oak Ridge? Isn't that a military school?
I know I used a shouting emoji and paged Beal, but I meant it.After watching this first half at East Forsyth(Shutout so far). I really like East Coach Beal as well ; just another interesting coach who is very qualified. I mean he does a fantastic job with his defensive schemes. I’m very impressed.
This is an interesting name. He would do well filling the shoes left from Coach Snow. He did an incredible job there and his legacy in this state is secured. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in a few years after a nice reset, or probably more likely to land in SC.I would love to see Mark Holcomb return to the CPC. He’s done a great job at Oak Ridge and he was fantastic with North Davidson during the Shy Tuttle days. Please apply
Agree with everything except the recruit your players to stay part. There would be a mass exodus every year if that were an option for kids. Only a certain percentage try and leave and very few are recruited. Winning and getting kids into school recruits itself.
