Just wanted to let you all know that there is a Memorial Fund set up at Regions Bank in case any of you would like to contribute a few bucks to this cause. This fund has been set up to help the former student that Coach Moss had taken under his wing and was helping make something of himself.
The Account is "Coach Moss Memorial Fund" and you can contribute at ANY Regions location. If you have any questions or if the local bank cannot find the account number, all they have to do is contact the Ackerman Regions branch and the phone number for it is 662.285.6278.
Below is the story about him that I shared last week. THANK YOU ALL FOR ANY AND ALL GENEROSITY!!! Steven's 5 year old daughter said to us last week "My daddy is in Heaven coaching Nick Bell"...
There is a kid that graduated from Ackerman a couple of years ago. One night after practice or a game, Steven gave him a ride home. When they got there, there were no lights on but Steven knew thathis little brother was home. He asked why the lights weren't on andthe kidreluctantly told him that they didn't have any money for the power bill. The kidworked and provided all he could for he and his sibling. There were no parents or no family helping. Justthe studentand his sibling. So, without another thought, Steven basically took them in. He paid the bills and fed and clothed them. Steven has a beautiful 5 year old daughter who basically thinksthe studentis a family member at this point. They were at every function forhim and were his family at all of the senior events. The kidgot a scholarship to Holmes and is doing well. He really is a great kid that God knows what would have happened to if Steven had not helped where he could. On top of everything else, I got on FB this morning and realized that Steven's wife had been on there consoling the kid... What a woman. You lose your whole life and all she can think of is making surehe keeps his head up. They truly are great people and I hate this so bad for them.
Hope this helps. RIP Steven...
