I just spoke with a good friend of mine who through his work speaks with some of the coaches fairly often. He said that he had just got off the phone with one of our coaches who was in our area recruiting. This coach stated the obvious that if Texas offered Manny would take the job. But, he did say that he would not be worried about the defense whatsoever in his absence. He said that Coach Wilson was very involved in the gameplanning and playcalling and felt that the D would not skip a beat. This coach is on the offensive side of the ball and said that he would hate to lose Manny but that Coach Wilson was just as much responsible for our defense this year as Manny was.

Not buying that at all. From what I saw on the sidelines, Manny made the calls. Obviously, Wilson will be the man, but he was not the man making the calls.
I'm just not so sure he's gone. I think that they have their hearts set on Stanford's DC. We shall see.

It could be. Hopefully we won't have to find out! On a brighter note he did say that he had no doubt that Joe Morrow would be a bulldog. This may be news to some of you, but down here there were several people within the Ocean Springs community that felt he was waivering on his commitment.
