I don't care who it is. I am just glad we have four legitimate QB's on our roster competing. They will all be better for the competition and whoever comes out of it will be pretty good.

our offense works best with a QB that can run the football, and it is a requirement to play QB at State. It is just as important as passing the football for our QB's. Ralph had 194 carries last year, and threw 220 passes. So obviously its just as important in our offense. Now obviouslythey dont want the QB to have that many carries, but they do want it in the 140-150 range. And as we go thru Spring and into the Fall, it will become obvious who the QB is going to be in 2012.

(and yes, I know Mullen said he would adapt his offense to his talent, as any good coach would. And as we talked about numerous times when debating Ralph-Russell going into last Spring- if one QB is clearly a better runner, and its close passing the football, Mullen is going to choose the better runner every time.)

...working on WR options. It would seem we want to use that to replace some of the quarterback powers we ran last year, because frankly, Relf barely held up and it was obvious that if affected his play. It's just not feasible for us to ask him to take that pounding again this year. Luckily, he's gotten better throwing the ball and shouldn't have to.

ETA: Florida seemed to run more of that in their first championship year than they ever did with Tebow. I actually thought that was their best offensive year, too. They really did stretch you every direction. Hoping we actually see more of this in games.

190+ carries is too damn many...we need to stay in that 10-12 carries per game average for the QB

Ralph got better as did our WR's during the season. I'm not sure why we waited so long to add the screens and drawsto the TB last season, but better late than never to help out our QB and OL against the numbers. The sky is the limit for our offense in 2011

I'm glad we finally did it against Ole Miss, but there was no reason we couldn't have done that all year when teams were blitzing the hell out of us. Perkins needs to get the ball in space, and there aren't many better ways to get him the ball than on a screen.

The only way we could move the chains was running the football with him or Ballard/Perkins. The defense knew we were going to run Relf on short yeardage plays, and that is what got him. We usually moved the chains, but it wasn't before Relf took some serious shots. If Relf can pass above average at the beginning of the year, defenses will have to back off the line of scrimmage.

The biggest thing Relf can do for himself is pass the ball efficiently. If he can do that, I see him rushingmore effectively next year.
