Now Meo, what was that about not playing a team on the road with no return game? We are Mississippi State, we don't have to do that right? Or have they just not announced UCLA coming to Jackson next season to play in the Coach34 Classic?

Its nice that we are finally doing what I've said we should be doing- running the Spread and playing a tougher schedule in basketball. I'll continue to remain ahead of the curve and let the rest of you know what we will be doing in 3-4 years from now

But what sucks is this is only two days after the SEC/BIG East challenge in Tampa. The timing couldn't suck any worse.

I would rather had just played at UCLA so we get more of a boost to our rpi. I guess it is less of a slap in the face to our program if we are going into the John Wooden Classic instead of pimping out our program with no hope of a return game. I would rather play someone like Washington or Oregon and get a 1 for 1 deal but you have to take what you can get I guess. We needed the rpi boost especially with the team we will have next year.

Just for the record, sometimes Peaches is right. However, even when he is right he is a total idiot about it. Even when I agree with him about something, I don't go around touting that fact, much less kissing his butt. It's pretty sad to see you sink to such lows.

One last thing - I still fail to see how playing UCLA near their own home turf is going to magically get us past the second round. I'm not bothered by the fact that we are playing the game, but I cannot see how one or two tougher games are going to make the difference. I'd rather see us take care of business against the teams we should beat and then peak at Tourney time, but that's just me.
