It’s no longer just players you have to worry about jumping to a new team for a stronger NIL deal. It’s coaches now.

The MD head coach bolted for Villanova due to the MD’s lack of financial commitment to basketball (translation: they don’t do as much for NIL as he would like).

Now, Nate Oats is rumored to have strong interest in the MD job because Bama diverts the bulk of NIL money to football. He wants to go somewhere with a stronger basketball NIL commitment.

You’ll eventually see NIL support being written in coaches’ contracts.
