and I mean nothing personal, but am I the only one that has ever noticed that Mingione coaching at first is a bit creepy or bizarre?! When the guy runs out of the dugout he almost performs the triple jump. Once he arrives in the first base box, he stretches! Seriously..like he's gonna run the bases. Then, he's very animated and always has A LOT to say. And my favorite is that if a player reaches first wearing one of those shin guards, when the player takes it off, Mingione puts it on! I know he needs a place to "store" it but come on!
Anyway, just a mere observation I've made watching him the last 3 years is that he's just kinda different than most 1st base coaches. Didn't he have some issue last year in Baton Rouge I think?
