Its that time of year when the college coaching carousel will start spinning.

DePaul should be the first shoe to drop. I will never understand how they have been so bad for so long. Could Kenny Payne be the answer.

IU could be open soon as well. Wes Miller seems like he could be a fit there.

As always, it will be fun to follow.

You ever seen DePaul? You can't even tell you're on campus when you enter it. It's just some brick buildings mixed into a giant city and that city is Chicago. Any P5 school within 200 miles of Chicago plucks all the talent out and there's about another 20 mid-majors in the Chicago tri-state area with much better basketball tradition. It's just scraps left over for them. Hard to compete in the Big East with scraps.

Gregg Marshall would kill it at Indiana. Wonder if they go after the hard *** coach style again. Everyone in that state still loves Bobby Knight.

I could easily look this up but too lazy- has depaul's arena finally open?
For my entire life depaul has played basketball 15 miles away from campus. They started there in the late 70s or '80.

That alone won't help attendance and support from students. We complain about msu student attendance, but imagine if games were played down in Crawford and most had to take a train to get to the games. That's what depaul chose for decades.

It wasn't KP it was the cheerleader that hired Ray and told everyone he hired that he didn't want them involved with AAU. That was one of the reasons we hired RR over Payne.

Here are some of the names Kentucky and Kenny Payne helped sign after Stricklin decided it'd be a better idea to hire Rick Ray over him. There's like 15 other lesser known players too. Gotta assume Payne gets a couple of them to come here instead. Even if it's only 2 or 3. There's some serious talent on this list.
