Yeah, I hope with Ben that Iowa BB will become the program that it was under Lute and early Davis years. And he will retire as a Hawkeye. The guy is one of us. He was born and raised in the state. He was a rabid Hawkeye fan. He attended Dr. Tom youth camps. He's said on multiple occasions that this is a destination job for him. His wife has said this is his dream job. I think the only way he leaves is if Beth would happen to leave and we brought in a jacka$$ AD that he just couldn't work for. Otherwise, I have no doubts that Beth will take care of him financially and he'll be here for 25+ years.
tradition. there is no football team to compete for NIL.What about Hurly. What makes Uconn such a terrific job?

I'm surprised that the Big East was actually so soft this year, outside of Uconn and St. John's. I expect that to be a strong basketball conference without football being a thing for many of those schools.tradition. there is no football team to compete for NIL.
I do wonder if some of these big East programs actually have the resources without football revenues to spend big on bb rosters.I'm surprised that the Big East was actually so soft this year, outside of Uconn and St. John's. Fair point - DePaul basketball for example, can't be much of a draw in Chicago these days, I wouldn't think. There can still be NIL collectives and donors, but that's probably a hard go without much of a fan base, either.I do wonder if some of these big East programs actually have the resources without football revenues to spend big on bb rosters.
Iowa men's BB do not turn a huge profit.
Football revenues pay for all non revenue sports, basically.
So at DePaul the bb program has to pay for all other sports programs at the school
Could Iowas men's BB program finance all other sports programs at Iowa without fb revenues?
St John's has Wall St Pitino friends.
UConn has legacy.
Creighton has sold out arenas.
Otherwise,I wonder about Marquette,Xavier,DePaul,Georgetown....gotta be tough

Great hire, deep UNI roots, former UNI assistant, strong ties to Cedar Falls, his wife still lived in Cedar Falls while he was in Ames, AJ Green’s father.Looks like ISU’s top assistant, Tyler Green, has taken the HC job at UNI.
Yes Kyle, you are correct!Great hire, deep UNI roots, former UNI assistant, strong ties to Cedar Falls, his wife still lived in Cedar Falls while he was in Ames, AJ Green’s father.
More importantly, the dude can coach. Architect of ISU’s very effective defense.
P. S. Kyle, not Tyler (I recognize it was probably auto- correct).
She is a chiropractor in cf, my uncle goes to her and talks hoops with her when he goes , seems like a good hire for uniGreat hire, deep UNI roots, former UNI assistant, strong ties to Cedar Falls, his wife still lived in Cedar Falls while he was in Ames, AJ Green’s father.

Tough sledding at mid majors now. You can’t build anything, a diamond in the rough will get gobbled up for a couple hundred grand.Great hire, deep UNI roots, former UNI assistant, strong ties to Cedar Falls, his wife still lived in Cedar Falls while he was in Ames, AJ Green’s father.

Marquette has a lot of money. They went young this year.I do wonder if some of these big East programs actually have the resources without football revenues to spend big on bb rosters.
