We could see Nutt to Memphis as early as tomorrow. The time is now for Peterson to get the UCLA job if UCLA is prepared to win. My sources are telling me that its Fedora or Freeze to UM. If Fedora jumps to Oxford I would expect Freeze to end up with the USM job.
I also think you could see A & M open up this week. There could alsobe someinterest from Penn State with Mullen, not saying he will take to job, but dont be surprised if this gets pretty heavy air time over the next week or two.

I am not able to tell you who they are, but they deliver in 30 minutes or its free, and they are evry close to the Nutt negotiations.

It is a thin crust Pepperoni special sure thing.

Exactly Coach. I could see Mullen staying hereover some jobs out therebut with PSU we are talking about a whole new ball game with Dan. Also, the talk is 3.5 to 4 milliona year at plus a HUGE budget on asst. Again not saying this is going to happen but dont be surprised if we are tracking planes in a few weeks

"Keep an eye on the SEC head coaches. Hearing one is involved in Penn St. search, waiting to confirm with a source closer to the situation." Yeah, its another rumor mill site.

I'm still wondering where the long-standing "Penn State is Mullen's dream job" rumor came from, other than the fact that his father went there.

for whatever that's worth. Mullen, Franklin, and Dungy are by far the most coveted names.

Right now, they not only have the Jerry Sandusky pedophile scandal but the coverups and possible murder of a Pennsylvania DA. Penn St. is going to need hundreds of millions of dollars to pay off Jerry's Kids, as well as people are going to prison for covering Sandusky's (<font class="Apple-style-span" size="1">alleged</font>) pedophilia.<div>
</div><div>State Penn was getting a bargain because Paterno was only getting paid about $1 million a year, and I believe he plowed most of that money back into the university. The next coach may not be as civic-minded, plus we all know how well corches do when they replace a legend.</div><div>
</div><div>Mullen may take the State Penn job....after somebody else fails there first.</div>

comes a calling. I kinda feel sorry for him....nahhh, 17 that Arkansas redneck. Itold a Bear friend of mine that it would end badly for them with Nutt at the helm and guess what. I was right.

I just don't get the justification behind it... A lot of these people talk like they heard Mullen say this first hand.

Based on what we know about the Sandusky mess, and what we can surmise, there has never been a bigger scandal in college sports, or possibly higher education in general. I bleed maroon and white, and I can honestly say that my opinion of our great university, and in particular its athletic department, would be forever altered if the same thing had happened at MSU. I would very likely turn down $4m a year to be our coach, and I don't make a tenth of $2.5m. I just couldn't set foot in that locker room.

and be the one that rescues the University that I have loved all my life. I could be the one that removes the stench and stigma of the previous administration.<div>
</div><div>18-19 yr old football players want to play football at a school that wins, is always on TV, and will help get them to the next level. The Penn State scandal will be old news a year and a half from now. Thats the way life and the media is now.</div><div>
</div><div>I'm of the opinion that the Penn St scandal helps Mullen get the job- because it probably has turned a few people off that may have been ahead of him. Mullen is cocky as hell and thinks he will win anywhere he goes- and you dont get many shots at your dream job. And if he struggles- he can always move on and say in his next interview- "I tried to save the school I loved, but the scandal was just too much to overcome"</div>

If the only thing you guys have going for that point is that his dad went there then I honestly just do not see it...
