Ok, so probably not some huge conspiracy here, but its a scoop so I'll post (albeit irrelevant to STATE sports).
I'm good friends with Illinois interim head coach's son (went to law school together). He said each coach was given a one year contract and then the agents checked them out. They all looked good. When they went in to sign, sans agent, the contract they signed had a 3-month buyout provision added. In essence, the interim staff believed they were being brought on for a year and then were purposefully deceived at signing. This came to light when a staffer got canned. As such, they are all pretty pissed at the AD and are looking for homes.
