Why we would pinch hit Frost in place of Norris is beyond me. I'm a big fan of his but I just don't understand that move. Also not having Holder start that last inning. Also, why in the world we keep changing our lineup when it is clear that our Friday night lineup is the one that works is driving me nuts. It seems like our coaching decisions are killing us in these close games.

I bet your the little league parent that yells at the coach when he does something you don't agree with. I bet your still mad that your son didn't make the little league all star team when you thought he was the best player in the league. You also seem to know more about our team than the coaches that get paid to coach the team and spend hours everyday with them.

Just think about that for a minute buddy.

Agreed. Norris put one off the wall on the first game and we bring a defensive liability in the 9th that strikes out.

Best case scenarios: frost = single, Norris = homerun. If it was sac situation, frost maybe should be in. That's it though

It was a matchup thing. Bring in a lefty against a righty. I personally don't agree with it because I think Norris still gives us the better bat against a righty.

Damn little league field and a pitcher that struggled against lefties today and porter and detz ride the pine. Cohen once again out coached himself.

I feel like we are watching the 2006 team all over again. The coaches job is to put the players in a position to win close games. Cohen is trying to be the second coming of Tony LaRussa with all of his' "match-ups." Porter should not have been left on the bench all weekend while Frost goes in for Norris and Fullerton is the DH in the first game. I know Detz, Rea, and Porter cannot be in the game at the same time but that also leaves a dangerous bat on the bench to come in and hit for someone.

Detz is a singles hitter that is 4-17 in SEC play. We will survive without his bat in the line-up. We need Porter's bat in there- our line-up needs some pop in it

How about trying Detz in left, he reminds me of Allen Craig who can play third, first, left, and right field. Detz playing left gives you all of your good bats in the line-up and running for Rea options late in a game.

I say go for it. It can't be any worse than what Cohen has been doing as of late anyway.

Or 2B where he won fielding awards last year. For Detz to be valuable he needs to hit in front of a big bat because he is an on base machine. that could be either the 3 or 5 hole.

I'm fine with your proposal of him at second as long as we try it on a Tuesday game. Pirtle has started to grow on me a little with the way he defends the field. Robson has also become my choice to play left, he won't win the game with the bat, but he won't lose it with his glove trying to make ESPN highlight reels like Henderson. Just my thoughts.

I like the idea of detz trying left field better than 2nd. Pirtle is as solid of a 2nd baseman that you can find. Get him to quit the switch hitting **** and bat right handed. He looks good when batting right handed and looks like an idiot batting from the left side.
