Makes no sense at all. The playoff loss was tough no doubt, but he literally took a winless team that had won 1 game in 3 season to the playoffs in 4 years. Took them to back to back winning seasons after not having one since 2017. SMH.
Make it make sense though? Lexington Football has been a mess until Morman took over. Yes the playoff loss was bad bad. But what about beating Thomasville? He took over a team that was 1-25! and then had two back to back winning seasons with a great roster coming back. Restored the JV program.
According to WLOS sport reporter Twitter AC Reynolds named Chandler Greer as HC today. I think he’s been there a few years but relatively young. Looks like they are playing the stability/long run game with him
I haven't heard much about North Iredell but I did hear they had 30-40 applicants but I heard 15-20 but I would assume after Christmas or New years is the target day for a HIRE to be announced!
Seem like Lexington , Thomasville and davidson co team have been bad but S/O davidson co for one of their best overall season in all schools in football.
If you can read between the lines, I think Crest already has a plan
Pretty sure they have someone on staff they have been grooming and will take over.
Blast from the Past...
I still remember the Cummings QB Donnie Davis years(87-90), in 1990 he broke the National Passing record in a season (4478 passing yds). They(Their Conference) played with a football that had yellow reflective tape on it and it was pretty cool seeing an offense who threw the ball nearly every down. Many believe that football was easier to catch and see.... but it never took off and was eventually done away with. Donnie could spin it...
He's 53yrs old now. Played at Ga Tech then 8 years in the arena league. Those Cummings teams were revolutionary in the passing game.

Green Level is looking for assistants. Coach Woolf is still the head coach, but my understanding is that they have had a lot of turnover on that staff the last couple of years.
Frank Toms would match that description. Former FH D. Coordinator. Moved back home to join Lloyd’s staff. Young and would be there for years to come.
Saw a post earlier that Millbrook’s WR coach is being named the head man at Wakefield but no idea if true or just speculation
No. It will be the same as most local coaches I would assume. Whoever gets it will have a huge challenge on their hands to change the culture of the entire school and community to build a consistent team that competes with 7A/8A football programs.
The job is posted on the Swain County Schools website as well.
Also, just saw where he is coaching in the East/West All Star Game today. So he has been in Greensboro all week. So that makes the timing seem really strange

Apparently Hoke's coach has a doctorate. That's why his salary was so high.
Yes. Really good young coach. He has his work cut out for him but Wakefield has too much talent to be such a bad program.
