Final result aside, the coaching staff continues to have head shaking moments. Having too many men on the field after a time out. Having to call a timeout for a punt when it was the first play of a quarter. It’s head shaking the lack of preparation the team seems to have. That happened all last season too.

As for the players, we didn’t look great, especially on defense but I still believe there is enough talent to win games. Stevens looks like he understands the offense better than Fitz.

We had the too many men penalty. We had to call the timeout like you said. We had a delay of game after a media timeout once. Way too many times we ran the game clock down to zero. We are just poorly organized offensively. Of course, I got ripped mercilessly for pointing these things out earlier, so you may want to use caution with your commentary.

Everyone on here gets mercilessly ripped for making simple comments.

Having to take a time out after a change in quarter might be the most unforgivable thing I have seen in a while.

It’s something to monitor in future games, but I do think some of it can be chalked up to general Week 1 sloppiness.

I watched a lot of football today and saw a bunch of teams have moments where they looked bad or the coaches looked unprepared. We have some items that are legitimate concerns and others that are probably easy fixes.

Probably not as good as the sunshine pumpers want it to be or as bad as the more pessimistic fans believe. As always, the truth is somewhere in the middle. But nothing I saw today made me change my expectation for the season in general. Still feel that 8-9 wins is very doable.

They were flirting with going for it before the quarter ended and then brought the punt team out. They might have had a fake punt on and didn’t like what they saw once they got lined up and called a timeout to change it. There are tons of things going on during the game for coaches. If that’s what we have to complain about then I’d say we’re doin ok.

Lewis had a sweet fake injury. I can’t believe we got away with that.

On the penalty before the field goal, I knew that was coming. When we ran out on the field there was someone who didn’t know where to line up. I thought - oh crap, we must have too many guys out there

I’m assuming it was a mixup because of the OL injuries
