I heard something surprising today that I will not repeat until I know it to be true, but has anyone heard of a coaching move up here in God's Country?

I have heard that Kenny Ford will be retiring from Owen. Not sure how true that is but I have heard it from some reliable people.

I believe Kenny is retiring. He talked much about it this year and its pretty well a done deal.....but you never know with the ole ball coach. He is just as likely to go back on what he has said and stick around. If he does that's fine with me but I would like to see a younger seasoned coach come in and at least work with him if he stays and be ready to take off when Kenny hangs it up.

I know it has nothing to do with Asheville. Heck, we haven't even started recruiting players yet.

They will wait and check the police blotter at the end of January and then start that process.

I am just kidding. I have a lot of respect for Asheville.

I was only joking guys. Everyone knows we don't have an official start time for recruiting. We do it year round, but the salary cap this year is killing us.

On a serious note, The only things I've heard of as far as coaching changes are Kenny Ford (maybe) and a new coach coming into Brevard.

Bama, you are a Rocket fan yes? Much respect to you guys as well.

Santa hates me Bama. He runs up my credit cards every year and only leaves me socks and a new neck tie that doesn't match any of my church shirts......

Merry CHRISTmas to you as well Mr. BAMA!

Man, that is a pretty good haul. I get an empty bank account but I do get a full belly and heart.

I hope Ford does not retire.Always had a lot of respect for the guy.I remember several years ago they was talk that he might come to Pisgah and that would have been fine with me.The guy knows how to coach.

I think the recruiting really picks up in June. Typically we try to target the best players we can in May and go forward with a game plan on how to woo them in June and July. That way they can learn the playbook and scrimmage in early August.
