in the next couple of years & beyond......pretty damn good article on GP.

Next year alone we will have Rhode Island, Oklahoma, UCLA, on the schedule. In 2011, Maine, Washington, and probably USC will be at DNF. Washington wants us to return the favor in 2012, but Cohen said only if we get to play at Safeco Field.

And the best part......starting next year, we will have about 9 non-conference road games(3 at Pearl), which will allow us to have several 4-game series at MSU, with a Friday, Saturday double-header, Sunday format. That will be awesome....

That would be badass to play in Safeco field., and I would actually consider taking a trip there. Never been to Seattle.

All of that sounds awesome! Seattle is an awesome city and Safeco is a GREAT place to watch a game. I think it's one of the best kept secrets in all of baseball. If the Mariners are in town, it is well worth it to go to a game.

I've seen UDub's baseball field, and there's not much to it. It looks like a HS field. Unless they've done some major renovations that I am unaware of. So, good call by Bratton and Cohen here.

I'm excited about the tournament in Corpus Christi. My Dad and I are already seriously thinking about going down there for it. You can't beat good seafood and baseball.

I'd like to play USC in baseball again, and I wouldn't mind doing a home and home with them. I'd also like to see us do a home and home with Miami, Texas, Arizona State, and Florida State in the future. Not in the same season- our RPI would be through the roof.

And as nice as Washington is, I'd also like to see us do a home and home with Oregon or Oregon State and maybe try to get them to play us in Portland, which is also a cool city.

Finally, I'd like for us to do a home and home with Tulane. I would like to play them at their stadium, which I believe is in the Garden District. What a cool setting for baseball! I know that there was talk of us playing Tulane, did they say anything about that? And keep playing Memphis at Autozone and UAB at Regions Park.

if we are considering making them opening weekend. This is from Veazy's blog:
State will play three times at Trustmark Park in Pearl next year, facing Ole Miss, Southern Miss and Jackson State. MSU will also play UCLA and Oklahoma in a tournament in Corpus Christi, Texas. The season-opening series will be against either Marshall, St. John's or Tulane. Michigan State, Northwestern State and Western Kentucky will visit Starkville next year, too.

team, too.

Also, Washington St has called, but won't play them the next 2 years. Also, Oregon has called MSU wanting to set something up. The USC gig is still officially pending, but Palmeiro played pro ball with USC coach Chad Krueter, and kept telling him what a great place DNF is. So, Krueter called Cohen and wants to set something up.

sends his son to MSU as well. He would be a nice replacement for Sneed. I think Patrick had a pretty good year at Grayson County College (Really a CC) in Texas.
