This team hasn't quit, given up and laid down.

They found the cojones to win tonight in an utterly meaningless game, so perhaps they still have a vestige of pride and competitiveness, despite the record.

A miracle this weekend would be fun, just for that reason.

There's never been a moment during the losing streak that I've gotten even thehint of a suggestion that the team has quit. And that's a pretty impressive thing to say about a team that's lost as much as our team has. It's damn hard to keep giving 100% when you're in a 12-game losing streak. I'm still not sure if Cohen is the long-term answer or not, but he's done a good job of holding this team together.

has apparently packed it in. They lost to Tulane tonight 9-1. Tulane's starting pitcher had a 12.34 ERA. One reliever's was over 15 and another over 19.

Maybe we win a game.

Since I grew up just north of the Hub City, that was an unfortunate choice of words.
Sadly, for our season it is "relatively meaningless" as regards any post-season influence.
