Eh, we're fine with Detz at 1B. Only problem is that Cohen compounds the problem by benching Norris, moving Frost to 3B and playing a lollypop at 2B.

I think we should all just assume Rea is out for the season until we see something different.

Well, based on Frost's

performance this year he needs to be batting. He has the 2nd highest OBP on the team, behind Detz. 5th best batting average. 5th best slugging pct, higher than Norris. Norris is a strikeout machine. Frost is better than Norris defensively...even at 3rd. All things considered, based on this year's performance, Frost deserves to play over Norris (I can't believe I just typed that).

Then, the question comes down to whether you want a more potent offensive lineup (norris at 3rd and Frost at 2nd) or a better defensive team (Frost at 3rd and lollipop chainsaw at 2nd). Considering our strength is SUPPOSED to be PITCHING along with a good defense, you kind of have to choose the better defensive team.

Norris is fine defensively at 3B. I think either way you slice it you go with Norris and Frost in the lineup.

Sweet Jesus, I actually agree with you. Frost has earned increased PT. He is a better option than others (I cannot believe I just typed that either).

He never has been until this year. But due to Cohen playing him for the past 3 years, he has become a sort of veteran ironman. Like I said before, he won't win the game but he won't lose it either. In other words, he's not a weak link - he has a decent glove and I've seen him make some sparkling plays before.

This is something I don't know why we haven't tried. If Detz can play 2B, why not move Norris to first?

It appears Cohen is choosing defense to back up his pitching as opposed to offense- only explanation

So did you see Detz bail Frost out last night? If there was a stat for "leads the league in throws one hopped to first" Frost would be the Golden Glove winner, just ask Rea about last year. He lacks the arm, confidence or both to make the throw across the diamond accurately and consistently.

Why do we keep trotting Evan out there, I don't get it...

Cohen's thinking here seems Mullenesque with upperclassmen homerism.

Rea bailed out everyone last year with his ability to pick low throws and reach for a furlong. He made a lot of errant throws look perfect that Detz simply just can't reach.

Earth. More specifically, Starkville, Mississippi, United States, North America.

Your stats are meaningless. Frost as one less error in 9 less starts. Give me a break.

Well that may be but Cohen is giving up a lot of arm strength by insisting on playing Frost at 3rd. Making the throw is just as important as cleanly fielding the ball.

At this point I would be fine with Frost as the starting 2nd baseman. Pirtle has a nice glove but I do think at this point Frost gives you more at the plate and Frost is a pretty good fielder himself.

Are you really that 17'ing stu-stu-stupid?????

Norris has 4 PO's and 19 assists
Frost has 6 PO's and 24 assists

That means Frost has made fewer errors but handled the ball more than Norris has your 17'ing embecile

Every time I reply to you- I feel like the QB- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cG2Q_cnnnus

Again, useless. If nothing else because of small sample size. I actually watch the games, and know who the talent is. I was just poking holes in your useless arguments by bringing up numbers, and successfully did so. Frost has also been at two positions, thus more chances to touch the ball at an easier position to make a play.

Stick to divorce stories.

Only thing I can think of is that Frost/Mitchell are just hellacious practice players. Cohen has shown that he will reward hard work.

Yes, Mitchell walks too many but it's not like he's pitched that bad. His ERA

is 2.3. IF he can throw strikes, I feel more comfortable with him out there versus Cox.

Yeah, me too. That's the whole point though. He can't throw strikes. Dude probably has the best "stuff" on the team, but it doesn't make a difference when none of it hits the zone.
