"Ron Polk used to say, 'That's baseball,' but I don't buy into that crap. It's our responsibility to win the damn game!"</p>

Or are you paraphrasing? I agree with Cohen wholeheartedly, but for him to use "the D-word" and even crap will probably ruffle some feathers of some of the croonies. Especially since he called out Polk.

he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, after hitting the first 2 batters he faced as well. I know it's tough to be perfect, but the guy simply was off tonight and should have been pulled.

It's not Cohen's fault he can't throw a strike. Was Cohen out their on the mound? Did Cohen miss the plate?

Just at Dudy-Noble Field

You kind of have to understand the MSU baseball Polk croonie sub culture to understand. These are the same people that:

A. Blew a gasket when Papelbon mentioned drinking while at MSU.

B. Blew a gasket during, well the entire Papelbon First Pitch Banquet. It was gold.

C. Got upset because Cohen said our pitchers "weren't good enough". He was actually being nice when he said that. They were ****.

I think Byrne is about to get a lot of e-mails. But I do like to see a coach that wants to win, which is nice for a change.

And no, I will NOT be sending Byrne an e-mail.
