To keep it on the minds of the conference and the refs for this next game. I see what Paul is saying, but I understand why Cohen decided to hold off until now.

Cohen has always been known for his great timing. It’s why he waited a week to put out a statement making Mike Leach visit the black history museum after he posted the comic about the wife knitting a noose for her husband.

Cohen had to give himself a PowerPoint on why he shouldn’t say anything on Monday. Then he had another PowerPoint session on Tuesday as to why he should say something. Then he had to meet with himself again Wednesday to debate the merits of each side. Finally, on Thursday he managed to say something. He soooo smart

That article seems like kinda click baity. It isn't, but it also isn't really worth even publishing.

Is the criticism really motivated by the idea that Auburn will now be distracted for 2 days leading up to their game against A&M?

I would hope a football program would be able to focus on an upcoming game.
And I would hope comments about a prior week's game could be made without a football program then imploding.

Just doesn't seem tough to do.

Beginning of the end for Cohen at Auburn. Freeze will start to feel pressure this year and now Cohen doesn’t have BB to fall back on with Bruce Pearl retiring. You hate to see it

The conference doesn’t care. Officials made a mistake. Happens every weekend. It’s not like they’re going to instruct the crew working this weeks game to “make up for it.”

Tighten up SPS. "We" can't let Auburn news and our old AD distract us from the TN game.***

This particular football team is led by a guy who actively searches out and responds to mean tweets about him, so you never know.
