Coach Polk, what happened to the pitching staff?

<span style="font-weight: bold;">"Well, uh....bless their hearts........they just simply didn't execute"</span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">"Ya know, we work on this at summer camp and fall ball and get in a game situation and just can't throw strikes..bless their hearts...its not from a lack of trying"</span> <br style="font-weight: bold;">
Well Coach what do you see doing different in the future to rectify this?
<span style="font-weight: bold;">"We're gonna continue to work and get better, but ya know....golly geez...there's allota pressure out there on these kids, and dog gone you just gotta feel for 'em when something like this happens" "I've seen it happen before and I'm sure I'll see it again...so.....ya know....that's just baseball"</span>

No doubt......MSU is seeing a dynasty being created........2 seasons after World Series appearance the cupboard is bare, but in 2 more seasons, it will be so full of talent the doors won't be able to close.............As a Rebel, I had better enjoy the next 2 seasons before we are dominated for decades to come..........All praise King Cohen!!!!

nail those kids in the ***. they know they suck, and it's not like cohen beating them up is going to make them better. they suck, and won't get better, but they've chosen to come to MSU and he should give them some measure of respect. smacks of narcissism frankly.
We'll leave that to you rebel ****. Could this be why Mrs. Kennedy isn't getting her rocks off these days.

We'll see. I think Cohen is a quality baseball coach. Then again, so is Mike Bianco. If your baseball program gets better, then good for you. Regardless of what you do though, I don't think you'll see us go away.

Contrary to your belief, and the belief of many others, I really don't think our success is dependent on your success, especially in baseball, and I don't think your success is dependent on ours. So while Cohen may improve your program, I really don't think it will affect our baseball program more than 4 games a year, when we play each other.

is that all of these players that these Ole Miss fans are defending and worried about getting their feelings hurt are going to get a chance to play for them in the very near future.

Sounds like it's going to work out great for everyone.

Enjoy your 5'8" 80 MPH flamethrowers that can't throw strikes.

You are smarter than that. I will agree with bruiser on this one. I'm sure Cohen will get MSU headed in the right direction and do so quickly. But to act like Ole Miss is going to fall to MSU's current level as long as Bianco is here is just dumb. Our weekend rotation has zero players from MS in it. Our starting 9 has 2 in it. I don't think we are exactly dependent on instate recruiting. I imagine the Southeast and the rest of the country has enough talent in it where both MSU and OM can be top 15 programs.

I honestly think that would be pretty fun as well, if both of our baseball programs were Top 15 caliber at the same time. Bianco and Cohen are already not on the friendliest of terms. We were actually developing a bit of a rivalry with UK with Cohen there, and that was UK. The rivalry with MSU would be even more intense if we were both Top 15 programs, and if Cohen and Bianco were sparring as usual. I've said before that it could probably help both programs if we both had quality baseball programs and a somewhat nationally known rivalry, at least in the baseball world.

I've sometimes wondered if the Bianco-Cohen rivalry dates back to their playing days. Bianco was at LSU in 88 and 89, and Cohen was at MSU from 87-90, so they definitely overlapped a couple of years.

How bout that?

Those Cohen recruits really did a number on us this weekend.

Just like those Nutt recruits did a number on Croom last year??

And Cohen was in charge of those players that Bruiser reminded us about when they were successful. Just like Nutt was last year. Sorry you didn't see the comparison.

dropping to our current level. I'm saying that if your fanbase is so concerned about the feelings of our players, you can have them, because we sure as hell don't. At least then it would make more sense as to why you care about their feelings since they would be YOUR players on YOUR team.

How you got that out of your original comment, I have no clue. Seems to me you are saying soon we will suck as bad as y'all do this year.

I didn't say that Ole Miss HAD to or WERE going to take them. But again since ya'll care so much about their feelings, it would sure seem like a nice gesture on your part.

All I'm saying is that once we cut the guys in our bullpen, you can welcome them to Oxford with open arms. I'm sure that they would appreciate that since they will be looking for a new home soon.

Although I must say that it seems hypocritical to say that we should care about their feelings when ya'll obviously think that they suck to.

I think he just gets pissed and flies off the handle a little bit. I don't think it's as calculating as everyone is giving him credit for.

He's a competitor; he wants to win. So, when we blow a huge lead for the second time in the weekend, he's pissed and has a hard time hiding it.</p>
