Glad kid got offer. I admit I saw or see him as track star first. Still potential upside football is there. I hope we get to see what kid can do. If nothing else our very good track program probably smiling.
Quick question for somebody from Blacksburg. Does Beck want to do both track and football in college? Some football staffs don't always allow both. IMO those coaches are darn fools if they don't. I do understand them not wanting them to do basketball or even baseball in some rare instances since it keeps them out of spring practice. But track is a no brainer in my opinion.
Talked about that in an earlier post, but yes he plans on doing both. You're right, some staffs are not on board with that idea. Maybe because they don't (or don't want to) understand the dynamics.
