Former Gordon hater here, and I couldn’t be more happy for Cole and the entire squad. His performance in the regional and tonight were vital to our success. When he stepped on the diamond his past 2 outings, he was the fearless leader we needed. Keep on dealing big man, and pack your bags for Omaha.

Side note; I never hated Gordon, just expected him to give up 10 runs every outing...and how about his athletic hustle play at 1st tonight?!?!

Cole was the reason we won, in my opinion. I’ve seen that spiral out of control for us so many times after we’ve blown a lead, but he settled us down and kept us on the right course.

He pitched really well in a loss last year to UF in a game where we couldn’t buy a hit. Maybe 1-2 other good outings.
