ESPN has purchased the sec acc and big 12. Fox owns the big ten. So why wouldn’t these corporate monstrosities just purchase and pocket the ncaa as well ? The odd Euro waiver that the NCAA seems to have, where low paid or expenses paid players are NCAA eligible and just have to give up 1 year of eligibility, is super arbitrary.
If someone can play for multiple professional teams over multiple years and be NCAA eligible, then why not someone who played in the NBA for a stint and washed out?
There is simply no consistency in the position to justifiably say one is acceptable while the other is unacceptable.
