College eligibility is getting out of control.

So the rule if you go thru the draft your ineligible is no more? Or am I dreaming, was that not a rule? He'll make more $$ in college. I don't know what to say about that.

All that matters is how shameless the school and athlete are when making these ridiculous eligibility requests. The NCAA basically can’t say no anymore.
I can’t even imagine being a staunch Baptist AND a Baylor fan these days. Jeebus.

You’ve been able to go through the draft and return to your team if you go undrafted for a few years now. You have to use an NCAA-certified agent or not use an agent and jump through a few hoops and you can maintain elogibility

This will be the first time (to my knowledge) that a player was actually drafted and will play college ball afterwards.

ESPN has purchased the sec acc and big 12. Fox owns the big ten. So why wouldn’t these corporate monstrosities just purchase and pocket the ncaa as well ? Amateur status is a non entity when it interferes with entertainment assets belonging to espn.

I think a guy should be able to inter the draft and if he doesn't get drafted where he wants, he should be able to come back. I don't see why not since they have agents and a paycheck if they don't inter the draft.

This dude played multiple seasons, for multiple teams, in Europe.

The odd Euro waiver that the NCAA seems to have, where low paid or expenses paid players are NCAA eligible and just have to give up 1 year of eligibility, is super arbitrary.

If someone can play for multiple professional teams over multiple years and be NCAA eligible, then why not someone who played in the NBA for a stint and washed out?
There is simply no consistency in the position to justifiably say one is acceptable while the other is unacceptable.

Six Pack: officially unofficial
NCAA: consistently inconsistent

So I guess now everyone can stay in the draft and teams now have to worry about drafting someone who might just go back to college?

what a mess
