Here's my guess:

1) Indiana
2) UGA
3) Ohio State
4) Texas Tech
5) Oregon
6) Whiny Bitches (get Ohio State in the second round)
7)aTm
8) Oklahoma
9) Notre Dame
10) Bama
11) Tulane
12) James Madison one and done

What do I have wrong?

Hot takes;
The 5/12 and 6/11 match ups are a joke IMO.
Acc gets left out
Dark horses: Notre Dame (they're playing as well as anyone and have gotten better) and Texas Tech (have SEC physicality on both sides of the ball).

I agree. I don’t see the committee punishing Alabama for playing in a conference championship game by dropping them out. That would set the wheels in motion for conference title games to be disbanded and the powers that be can’t have that because they are cash cows.

No way a three lose team should be in the playoffs 🤷‍♂️

I kinda struggled with that one but their legacy gets them in IMO. Miami, Texas, Vandy all at home bitching. Miami is the only one of those that has a valid argument IMO because of their ND win. Ohio State losing hurts Texas. Vandy's best win is Tennessee.

Number 10 on your list is not like the others. Get them out. They were beaten unmercifully in their game. They suck!

Could an 8-5 ACC Champion Duke beat JMU or Tulane ?
If you think they can, and I do, then why leave them out just bc they are 8-5 ?

I think the OPs ranking is what the committee will do. They tried telling us last weak by bumping Bama up and JMU up, both would get in.

With that said, I'd like to see Bama in. However they don't look like a playoff team right now. Their offense is terrible. I would put Miami in at 10.

Just to throw a different take in.

1. Indiana
2. Georgia
3. Texas Tech
4. Ohio State
5. Oregon
6. Ole Miss
7. Texas A&M
8. Oklahoma
9. Miami
10. Notre Dame
11. Tulane
12. Duke

Ole Miss route goes through Oxford > Dallas > Atlanta > Miami (but they don't get past Dallas. Texas Tech is going to win the national championship.

"Legacy" as in previous years teams, and not this one THIS YEAR? Is that you Gary Danielson?

OSU stays #2, UGA stays #3, Miami replaces Bama at #10.
I hope you’re right but some projections has bama in. They have 3 losses and simply don’t pass the eye test imo. I’m not an ACC fan or but think they should have one in.

It will be interesting. I know the chairman has said they do t punish teams for losing a championship game but of course they do. Are they going to leave Ohio State #1? No. They’re going to punish them for losing. Last year, I believe every conference championship game loser dropped in the final rankings. I just don’t know how you leave bama in after that loss when they also got blown out by Florida st. But who knows?

Damn the committee will absolutely get torched for this.

You drop OhSt a spot for losing a championship game.
You don't move bama at all for losing badly.
you drop out a team you had ranked and in the playoffs the whole time.

Just wow. There will be repercussions for this.

The Bears almost certainly advance one spot. They probably should have traded places with A&M tho.

I was only halfway listening, but I think he said that Tulane and JMU didn't really deserve to be in because better teams were left out. I agree if that's what he said.

Legacy. And they got left out last year. Largely makeup for last year. And maybe to save DeBoer's job.

You have to go to 16 teams.
Notre Dame, Vandy, maybe BYU, or TX or Duke need to be in.

I think where we’re heading is 16 teams. 4 bids for SEC & Big 10, 2 for ACC & Big 12, 1 for top G6 champion & 3 at large. SEC & probably Big 10 will have playoffs between #3-#6 teams for the 3rd & 4th auto bid.

The Committee was gonna get torched regardless. The disease still has not been cured - we can argue about the symptoms all we want

Come again...........I effing hate Bama but figured they'd get in just because they are well, Bama...........
Bear Bryant and Saban have nothing to do with this team and shouldn't matter any at all. If the committee thinks so they are kicking a deserving team out to keep a "legacy" team in and that sucks

And screw the G5 qualifier and conference championships. Expand to 16 and make the seeding based on rankings.
I’m fine with the way it worked this year. Every team in the nation had their chance to make the playoffs and play for the national championship. First time we could ever say that.

If James Madison had quality trench players, they'd be formidable. However, I just don't seem them matching up with 3/4's of the teams in the playoffs at all. They might give Ole Miss a game, but would likely wear down by the 4th quarter like we did most of this year,

I've said this til I'm blue in the face. There will always be bitchin' about being left out until the selections are taken OUT of the Committee's hands. Even if we had 64 teams in the playoffs, we'd still have that problem. Gotta go with a computer formula with defined-accepted-weighted INPUTS that will rank every team, however many you want. Then the Committee can just sit back and smoke some reefer while the playoff spots are spitted out by the formula. Would be so easy and everybody could then see why they didn't get in.

Yeah. Oregon & Mississippi may win by 60 combined. Not good for ratings.
Good draw for Ole Miss to get to play another team losing their coach and one whose best win is either NOrth Texas or Duke. How in the hell are they in there? Even with the head ot head loss, I'm not sure Duke shouldn't be ahead of them based on splitting with UVA.

There will still be b1tch1ing then. Committee easily got 11of 12 teams right, arguably all 12, and got them seeded in pretty much the right order.
