Is this big news? They should be playing every year. All regional teams should be playing each other. If we'd all commit to that, I wouldn't be as against playing USM (which is just a matter of accepting reality, rather than idealism - which I prefer).

They've not played each other in 20 years & their hatred makes Texas & aTm look like blushing maidens.
They were scheduled to play in 2020 but ULM had to back out because of Covid.

I live in NE Louisiana and was under the assumption they played every year. Are they both just irrelevant or do I live under a rock?
La Tech looks down upon ULM and considers them to beneath playing (at least by their fans anyways).

Kind of makes me wonder if the Louisiana Tech AD negotiated this series before or after the C-USA schism.
I dont think this series happens without the latest round of college realignment. La Tech has had ADs in the past publicly insult the Sunbelt as not being on the same level as CUSA. Now that the scripts have flipped, I think they're just trying to play nice in hopes of being thrown a life preserver in the future.
