that was lower than I thought it would be.
It is what it is, and it's still better than what we were getting.
What's odd to me and why I thought it would be better was because we had five guys that got drafted that made it to school, whereas last year we only had two guys in the higher rated class.
Of course, that's variable to what everyone else brings in to.
For the record, I was expecting at least top 15 so that everyone knows what I was expecting. I'm still pleased with the class overall, and I do concur that I would have liked to have seen us get some more pitching in the last class. Other than that, we filled pretty much every need at the other positions, and despite the lack of pitching, we didn't totally neglect it either- Daryl Norris and Taylor Stark should be able to help us out as both were drafted by MLB as pitchers. What remains to be seen is how soon can they help us and if Norris is a starter or a relief pitcher. Also, if you are in the Harrison Central area, please hit whatever football coach that hurt Wes Rea's arm in the head with a blunt object for me. Wes will help us out at first base, but we could really use him in the bullpen to. That coach is lucky that the Rea family doesn't sue him for child abuse.
