I don’t have social media so maybe it’s out there somewhere but the only thing I can find is that she was a dance instructor. I’ve asked in other threads and no one seems to know what her business is.
I appreciate the inside info/rumor whether it turns out true or not. Chandler seems like a good kid and shoots a high percentage from 3. THat being said, if he enters the portal I see this as a good thing. I have to think that means Pope believes he can upgrade the position. You would think if Pope really wanted Chandler he could have convinced him to stay. Same thought with Lowe. I am definitely glad we let Lowe go and plan to upgrade.

I do wonder if keeping Chandler and keeping Johnson is an either/or situation, because, let's be honest, you HAVE to go secure a better shooting guard in the portal than either. And I doubt both would stay for back up minutes. I did see where Johnson supposedly reported signing a new NIL deal with Fifth Third Bank yesterday. Not sure what that says for his future at UK, but could be telling about Chandler's in the long run.

Not a lot of social media will help as she is pretty private on socials. What you can find is that she's a pre-professional dance instructor. She can literally do her job anywhere, much like a yoga instructor or piano teacher could. I wouldn't read much of anything into her "moving" her business. The only concern would be if she decides to go back to school and finish her degree. There's not a lot of info out there but I believe she left school after her sophomore year once her and Chandler got married to move to Kentucky with him, and didn't go to school anywhere in KY this year.

I understand the going home aspect, but the point is that I think his decision would be more important than what his wife is doing work-wise. It’s very rare for a 22 yr old to have this kind of opportunity. And, as a pro basketball player, this will be an issue for the rest of his playing career.
Then you gotta ask, is BYU going to try to outbid us? Is that worth having less exposure for Chandler himself?
I’m sure he is guaranteed to start here too. Is he there? They have Branch coming in and Kennard Davis at the wing. Couple of solid bench SGs in Kostic and Pickens.
As of now, we don’t have anyone that would take time from Chandler at the 2.

This makes sense to me. And if it can only be one my thinking is it would be Chandler because:
--He's all in on Pope. In fact said so publicly two days ago, which makes these imminent departure rumors funny.
--He knows Pope's system better.
--He's of the age and experience level to have a better chance of breaking out next year.
--He can perform some swingman duties and has astounding hops. Imo he's not actually quite as limited as people usually claim: he's just wildly inconsistent.

No offense to the Chandler family but who gives a sh*t about his wife’s business? Is she making $2MM/year, all expenses paid, at the biggest program in the country? Probably not. Put your foot down Collin, good grief. If you wanna be a pro athlete, you gotta learn to be a big boy.

We can do better than Chandler. This is what we need to do, upgrade our talent. It's painful because we grow to like these players but if we don't do this, we will lose lots of games again.

No inside knowledge of any kind (a given, but some will pick away at that):
- Chandler and his wife are Mormons from Utah that are likely wanting to start a family.
- She is a little kid dance studio teacher, a job which requires family help to take care of babies. And the kind of thing that is new-mom friendly and can be a passion that extends even if hubby is making a ton of money.
- He can make just as much money at BYU
- BYU has been every bit as successful in hoops as Kentucky for the past two years (40-11 for BYU, vs 33-18 for UK, but vs a tougher schedule).
- He can say nice things about Pope (and maybe even mean them) and still consider this as the right move.
- If he leaves this will not help with Noah or Moreno staying - quality guys that are friends.
- If he leaves likely would help with Williams - enough positional overlap.
I don't know much about the Mormon faith, but I just picture her churning butter and manufacturing jeans for the good of the community. Surely staying in Lexington and making millions is a better option.

Well, the same can be said about all of them. We are expecting and hoping for a mass exodus, but so far, only Lowe has left.
The ones that are going to transfer, are probably waiting for the portal to officially open.
