Now that the season is over we need to pay him at least 500k. We need continuity with the team and keep it all together. Defense is awesome

He's not leaving, and hypothetically someone came a long and was like "We'll pay you more than the peanuts MSU is paying you!" we'd just offer him more. He's easily our most important recruiter. He's a crazy mofo, and people seem to like that.

He'll get a raise, but if you're worried about him getting hired from under us because of $$$$ it's not going to happen. I think what's pissed a lot of people off to this point is that we could pay more for better assistants and pay our good assistants more, so PAY THE MAN. If anything, Ray would come down from his ridiculous (and unwarranted $1m) salary and we can use that extra $ for fooseball. Half**'s.

To me, this is like promising your girlfriend that you will treat her better after treating her like **** for awhile -- because you suddenly realized she may be about to leave your *** for someone else. At that point, it's a 50/50 proposition at best. Simply counter-offering someone that is(or should be) pissed off about being $200k underpaid doesn't guarantee your ability to hold onto them -- especially when comparing to a team that was willing to reward him and pay accordingly on the front end.

With the money that MSU has now, we should be paying top dollar on the front end so 99% of the calls are never made. It's frigging criminal that he isn't making $500k with incentives allowing the possibility of up to $750 RIGHT NOW.

Exactly, this is first and foremost about paying a man who is doing a very good job what he DESERVES to be paid given the conference he is coaching in.

I'm not saying we shouldn't be paying him more. I'm more commenting on the fact that he's the least paid DC in the SEC.

Collins loves us, so like a battered women I guess I would expect him to stay, but I'd rather not find out. Just pay the man. He earned it, like I said.

Exactly. This is saying that "she" is looking better and better everyday. Throwing a few "compliments" her direction might even up "her swag level."
