Awesome work as usual Dre. Dang, Charles City is coming so close. What an improvement, especially with some of their hard times with funding sports a few years ago. Good work but I'm sure they want the W not just a moral victory. Still almost beat Franklin and CB!

CC won their 1st game easily (for those who may not know) and then lost big to Sussex. No shame there.

Man, is Sussex just plain bad a-- this year or what? With Essex down a bit (from being crazy good that is), this may be the year for the Tigers. I wonder though, can Sussex defeat Riverheads and/or Galax if it comes to that?

Check out how Mathews' Stuart Anderson performed tonight over Rapp. Not a bad evening for that young man ha...

UVA,

Charles City is getting close, but they have to improve on offense. Too many drives that stall and predictability is becoming key to their playcalling. Defense, however, is better than what most expect. When they played Sussex it was on two days rest (Had Southampton Tuesday, then came back Friday). I think Sussex would have still beat CC but I think at least two scores would have been there.

Sussex is probably one of the favorites in the east. They have a passing game this year and still run very well. They are operating out the spread more which makes them dangerous. They are young on the line but their skill players are all upperclassmen so if they going to make their noise it will be this year.

Anderson was a good player last year when I saw Mathews. Unfortunately for the Tidewater District every team is young except Charles City and West Point. King William is reloading, while Mathews, Middlesex, and King & Queen are rebuilding. District play kicks off next week and CC's last tough game is Friday at King William.

It's time to see who emerges with five weeks left in the season. Teams will be beating up on each other for twelve spots. Should be good coming down the stretch.

West Point starts 2 seniors. The rest are sophomores and juniors and 1 freshman.

Love bulletin board material.

Never any disrespect to West Point. If you want to call it 'bulletin board material' then help yourself. It's facts. West Point is experienced compared to the other teams. A lot of those sophomores and juniors who played last year played varsity last year. Charles City went through the same thing three years ago. Classification doesn't equal experience.

And as far as Charles City schedule, by comparison to West Point's it's tougher. Straight facts, not opinion.

But that's why they play the games. Never know what's going to happen.

Oh my bad Dre. I thought you said everyone was YOUNG except CC and WP. My mistake. Not sure where I mentioned anything about CC schedule vs WP schedule but I'm sure I was mistaken there too.

All kidding aside, WP will struggle with CC speed but if they can keep the big plays to a minimum, then CC will have at least 1 more TOUGH game besides KW.

Dre you didn't say anything about experience. You said everyone in the Tidewater district is young except CC and WP. Thats your exact words. And WP is defintely young. They start a freshman, 2 sophmores, and a junior at Lb
