... by Drew Brees.

That's the bottom line. The rest is just sour grapes.

Of course, the Colts' president does notpossess the balls or political power to ridicule a Manning.

I can't think of a quicker way for the Colts' president to lose his job than tobe on record as blaming Peyton Manning for a Super Bowl loss.

nor have I ever understood why people feel that Peyton Manning is above criticism. I'm not saying that he should be blamed entirely for losing the Super Bowl or anything like that, but as Bill Simmons pointed out, had Manning not run the exact same play two plays before getting picked off, maybe the Colts go down and tie the game and then who knows what happens from there. And I do think that is on Peyton since he effectively calls the entire offense, or that's what we're led to believe. Or maybe Tom Moore only calls the INT's.

It's hard to blame the o-line for the Colts when they didn't give up a sack (I don't think) and they ran the ball well. What else does Polian want from them?

None of you hate the Colts more than I do, and I certainly do not think thatManning is above criticism. But I think that blaming the loss on him is not correct, I think he played great. And to say that it was a stupid INT that should not have been thrown is more of a discredit.

It's a discredit to the DB for making a hell of a play. And it's a discredit to the Saints for playing a hell of a game.

The Colts are a product of hype, I never thought they had a chance in the game. Hell, iftheSD doesn't pull their annual choke job, the Colts don't even make it the Miami.

They have 1 great player, nothing more.

NFC Championship Game is exhibit A- Porter again picks off a pass. People ripped Favre a new one for throwing a ball up in the middle of the field- and yes, that's a no-no, but he was trying to make a play to win the game. His other receivers were covered, and while he maybe could have run to pick up some yards, he maybe gets five yards at best- probably even less because he had been beaten up by the Saints throughout the entire game and it was a miracle that he was even able to roll out at that point. Or he could throw the pass away and the Vikings could try about a 50 yard FG.

And it didn't cost them the game- they still went to OT.

If that's Peyton Manning, he had to roll out because the pass protection broke down and (insert name of Colts WR here) ran the wrong route.

The Saints came in balls-to-the-wall, guns-a-blazin making calculated risks and just went all-out. The Colts were far more conservative and less prepared by comparison and lost the game for it.

While the Colts fared far better than a typical Croom team, the loss was similar in style.

He's the reason for all these ridiculous illegal contact penalties and the league basically turning into flag football.. After 04 he begged to the league to make the pass defense rules more strict so the Colts could finally get over the hump... even then it took Rex Grossman

it's not like they blew the Bears out.

I wanted them to win that one so bad for Brian Urlacher.
