Some of you may have seen that this morning, I starteda thread “On signing day, rememberMullen is our best coach since Allyn McKeen.”<o

>Most of you probably know the reason why I startedthe thread. But here is the explanation in case somebody does not know already.<o

<o

>Before Mullen won the last 3 games, there was a relatively small group of negative posters who dominatedthis board with “Fire Mullen” posts. If our recruiting ranking remains where itis, I anticipate that on signing day some of those negativeposts about Mullen will appear again.<o

>
<o
> </o
>You have probably noticed that, for the most part, the negative posters know little about football. They post generalized complaints such as : “I did notlike the play calling. Or Mullen needs to be more competitive.” Sometimes they post some legitimate complaints (such as poor field goal kicking) and then extrapolate fromthat legitimate complaint that the coach should be fired as a result. <o

Inmost organizations there are pathological antagonists who lurk to make a beachhead of attack upon theleadership. In football, these "coach killers" are usually insecure, mean-spirited people. And itmakes them feel better to target for elimination a coach by any means possible. In contrast, passive, unsuspecting fans sit by and carelesslyallow this "murder" of their coach’s career. <o

Forthe most part, the “coach killers” cannot stand logic and facts which refute their position. For example, today when Iposted facts that were positive about State’s future and Mullen’s future , they responded with negative ad hominem attacks to my posts such as“Your approval means everything. Now go ****yourself.” And “Read More post less” And they respond with sarcasm.
Identifyingthese antagonists for what they aredoing is the primary way to prevent the destruction of a coach’s career. So beready for their posts for what theyreally are. They will pop up wheneverthere is anything negative to talk about. <o

Theremay be a time in the future where Mullen should be fired. But so far, we are lucky to have him. State and Mullen need our 100% support now. GoDogs.
