When will Comcast Chicago get a clue?
I am watching the Iowa 4A Semifinals football game on Comcast right now.
When will they get a clue and show the Illinois Semis.

I ran into this same situation when the Iowa HS Wrestling State finals were going on the same time as Illinois last year.
Comcast was broadcasting the Iowa Wrestling finals but not the Illinois?

The Illinois broadcast starts at 5pm and I'm pretty positive they will broadcast an IL semifinal game.

Notice the Iowa football semi's are being played in one location.......has a big impact on overall coverage especially from a TV standpoint. I'm also certain that those Iowa wrestling were taped delayed at that time. Also I'm guessing that CSN also had time restraints/obligations to cover other teams.

Again I'm obviously bias but honestly tell me that overall preps coverage hasn't improved like 1000 percent since IHSA decided to go with CSN Chicago....and also remember that it's also all about timing and programming....CSN also has contractual obligations to Hawks Bulls plus covering Bears etc.

I've learned a lot regarding TV and CSN and I can tell you 1000 percent they remain committed to IHSA sports. People forget that I had a pretty nice gig with a few Chicago papers but I made a decision to leave them because I saw nothing but declining support and layoffs. CSN told me they planned to up it's game back then and they have kept their word.

Unfortunately CSN just paid off 12 people earlier this week so I'm hoping they can continue to focus on preps....haven't seen any reason to not think they won't.

Wow that is a very good idea for ease of coverage - have a large portion of the semi finals in one location!! I don't think it would be feasible to have 1A thru 8A because that is 16 games - but maybe 1 game Friday nite and 3 games on Saturday? You could do 2 classes in one location!!!!!

The Iowa matches provide relatively interesting programming at a low cost.

OK, why not show the IHSA State Volleyball finals with the #1 in the Nation team McAuley.

Not buying it.

Their internet blurbs and the High School Highlites isn't a huge commitment in my mind
