Reeves would make more at UK than any other option. It's a job and the best job is one more season at UK.

He may not want to deal with school another year. At his age I don't blame him but got to deal with it to play basketball. Surely can find 4 joke online courses to take this fall and next spring.

But we don’t make promises and we only want players that are here for Cal not NIL money. 😉
College sports needs a reset, that's what will fix this. Make it about students getting an education, who happen to be good at playing sports. I am completely okay watching 3 star players if it means pro money stays in the pros.

You'd have to ask yourself why Livingston would come back.

What makes him think Cal will make him a priority any more than what he got last year?

Every year there is a Livingston on this team, sometimes more than one.

Guys that look at what is happening on the court and don't understand why they aren't getting a shot

sometimes its not a valid concern, often it is.

Oscar and Reeves are a bit different, Seems like Reeves got plenty of run late in the season and there is no reason to believe that would be any less at the start of the season, and Oscar is Oscar, you have to play him

It's not looking as promising as it once was on getting either Oscar or Reeves back.
Been saying it since the season ended. Oscar and Cal butted heads all season but I could see a “maybe he comes back” scenario but wouldn’t had been surprised either way even w a transfer.

Reeves on the other hand…I’ve always thought he was more likely to transfer or take his shot at the G league or overseas than to return. Cal had him regulated to 13-17 min a game once we got into SEC play before injuries and Wheeler quitting forced Cals hand and then it was clear he was our best weapon. The one game we had the full roster again (UF at home) Cal played him 17 min again despite him tearing it up prior to that. He’d be crazy to come back to a Cal coached team that is guard heavy next season w Cals beloved high potential freshmen they will have to fail 2/3rds of the season before they get minutes taken.

I will say it again I think Calipari wants to prove to the CBB world that he can win with all freshman team and that is not going to happen into days CBB.

Thanks, I’ll be stepping in front of a speeding Amtrak after lunch.
Just three days ago KWilt chastised the masses for disrespecting a HOF coach that signed a few freshman and has 7 returning players. Now he's ready to jump in front of a train. What changed?

Cal didn't go after anyone because he thought they were coming back. Now they aren't and he's burned. How many times did we hear over the offseason. ''Reeves will be back'' ''Reeves is only getting feedback''. Lol I told y'all.
Other than message boards where did you see this?

I dont know West, we got 5 really good Freshman coming in. 3 are consensus top 5 and 4 are consensus top 15.
This is an all time group coming in, 3 guards a SF and a 7 foot PF. Stick Ugonna in to fill in for Bradshaw and Thiero to fill in for the guards and damn we good!

I’m to the point that I don’t want anyone back. Force cal to play with the current roster so he can whine all year of how young we are and roster limited (of course which both are of his own doing). This is what he wanted let him prove his way his best 😂. Team as it is may not qualify for the NIT!!!!

And that means what exactly? We’ve had top tier talent that absolutely didn’t pan out before. CBB is a whole different beast that in 2009.

I thought that too but late last week was his agency’s pro day at the combine. He may also have an individual workout or multiple lined up and those are more often than not after the combine.

Oscar is not coming back. I know he’s not as plugged but MJ has made it clear he knows details of Oscar’s NIL situation where he claims he made much less than reported last year and that money was from the Bahamas trip that we aren’t duplicating this year(Canada apparently different laws than Bahamas).

Reeves is a good player and the news is concerning. But IMO Reeves is by far the most replaceable type of player in college basketball. An older guard scorer without NBA potential. Still think it makes sense for him to return though.
Reeves had a workout today with the Bucks. There is no reason for him to announce his decision until he’s concluded these types of workouts and I haven’t seen any reporting on these for him to know when that’ll be.

His choices are pretty obvious.UK or G league. But playing at UK more than 1 season seems like a torture you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy these days.

I wonder what schools are trying to poach Reeves? It wouldn't surprise me if one is St John's.

Remember that dipshit verbal kent or whatever the hell his name is that said NiL wasn’t a issue at Kentucky and Kentucky was fine. Our ad and coach have this approach that grad transfer and recruits will come here because it’s Kentucky, what a arrogant take. These players want money up front and Kentucky need to start playing ball or they will continue to miss players and fall further and further behind

Do people expect Cal to pull the rabbit out of the hat, we tried with a few studs and missed on them. They weren’t UK material anyway, I’m sure there are a few D-III or D-2 diamonds in the rough we might get to come here. I’m sure he has a few more buddies that their kid can walk on if needed to fill in the roster.

Word is we are close on a huge NIL deal for Ivan Renko, Jr.
Don't forget about Moises Globally II, he's the answer we need in the post.

Remember folks, Cal eats first. And then he has seconds. We fans are no longer at the table.

This offseason has been a constant clownfest and shows how far behind cal is from modern basketball. Kentucky basketball is pathetic now and in a offseason where every team in the league got better expect two it’s frustrating to know Kentucky is mid team. Kentucky isn’t even a top 25 team right, that roster right now is not great, and our coach is to stubborn and set in his ways of wanting to do things to acknowledge it
People are giving Cal too much credit when they say that he's set in his ways on how to run the basketball program. HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT UK. His focus is the NBA and getting his guys there. Sure, he let possible transfers come here to check things out, but does anyone actually believe he would say "Nah, we're good, we don't need transfers"? He knows the roster is very thin, but he does not care. I know that *I* would not "change" if I had his kind of money, but we've all seen it where that kind of money seemingly gives a person complete immunity from doing the right thing or setting a good example. Cal literally doesn't have a worry in the world. He'd laugh in UK's face if they fired him, and then pack up his dogs, wife and daughters and head back to the New England area.

At some point don’t you have to wonder just what is going on in the locker room? I mean do we just ignore what appears to be a mass exodus from pretty much the entire possible returning group from last year. Is there a culture issue? Is this incoming freshman class scaring people off. There has to be something going on. Everyone appears to be desperate to not be at UK next season. I’d love to know why.
