Common Sense say...

Auburn paid. State has never known this and has never claimed to know it. The Auburn faithful have jumped to this conclusion, witnessed by their butt hurtness directed at State. Nobody, no witness, no ex-QB, npo nobody has ever said Auburn paid. None. YET, the Auburn faithful and their willing attack dogs in the press have all but crucified State. Why? Because the common sense conclusion is that he got paid to go to Auburn.

We will see now what the NCAA really is. If you are an NCAA investigator now, you have to think that obviously Auburn paid, and you juat have to figure out how, when , and where the money went.

Auburn is celebrating too early. IF they think the NCAA jsut says "Oh, so Cecil said nobody else knew? Ok, let's pack up and go home." then taht would be a mistake. IF the NCAA takes his word and closes the investigation down, then I fear for the sanity of man.

We reported that Cecil asked us for money. We said no. Cam wound up at Auburn. The next question one logically asks is "So, did Auburn pay?" However, MSU did not ask this question, and we certainly didn't answer it. That's for NCAA investigators to worry about.

last night. To say they are highly perturbed by the whole affair would be an understatement. They were so high about their season that they had visions of reaching heights they have never really reached and that can be quite intoxicating. Anyone or any organization that they percieve is trying to block that journey to those heigths is an enemy right now and I mean enemy.

You can forget facts and common sense right now, the is one case where the NCAA needs to step in and bring order to this huge mess that is the making of none other than Mickey Slive.Rosebowls articleon Slive was dead on, the guy plays favorites and that just can't be allowed to stand.

remember this is the same liar that originally said if Kenny Rogers was soliciting money from MSU he was doing it for himself and without the Newton family's knowledge.

Then the precedent has been set that a representative for every recruit in the country can ask for money. This would open Pandora's box. Cam is ineligible. The only thing left now is to figure out if AU gave the money. Auburn is in a tough spot. They had a chance to cover some tracks and get there story straight, but they didn't anticipate Mr. FBI entering the picture.

that Robert Elliot and Bobbie Massie got paid. Fortunately for us, nobody went to the SEC. I don't think you get into the business of paying players without getting your hands dirty.<div>
</div><div>Trust me. Nothing would make me happier to see Auburn get crucified while State walked away squeaky clean, but paying players is a dirty business and there's a reason people don't rat on each other. That being said, how can you blame Auburn for being pissed off at MSU right now?</div><div>
</div><div>As I stated yesterday, I think Cecil takes the blame for this, and we all go back to the regular pecking order in the SEC.</div>

if Cecil came to us and said it was just between him and MSU. But as soon as you go shopping around to multiple schools we HAVE to tell the SEC. Otherwise we are leaving ourselves at risk. Cecil Newton turned this into a no-win situation and gave us the choice between being the first team to report it, and face some displeasure from other fans, or being the last to report it and face some displeasure from the NCAA. Other fans can go +#$% themselves, we had to protect MSU.
