....Felker to take over as OC due to health concerns of Woody Mac. No idea of the validity of this. Anybody else hearing anything?

Felker's last season. Galloway up the middle 13 plays in a row for a yard and a cloud of dust vs Tennessee at Scott Field. It was so laughable, UT players were laughing on the sidelines. Seriously.

What the hell was that about? Giving up and sending a message to the team?

At least there would be some slight sliver of hope before we realized that his play calling sucks too. I would love to be optimistic for at least one more quarter of college football before the season ends.

it would prove to the world it has nothing to do with the OC. You have to get rid of Croom himself if you want something to change. Putting Felker in there and finishing the season 100+ statistically would cement that fact.

That's when I'm hoping GB says change the offense and Croom up and quits from shear pride. That's the only way I see an out right now.

And as soon as I heard it, I couldn't help but picture a Weekend at Bernie's scenario this past weekend with Woody propped up in the booth.

In all seriousness, if Woody is having health concerns, I truly wish him the very best. No matter how ****** his offense has been, he is a good man who deserves a bit of grace from the MSU family if this is indeed true.

Jim Ellis speaks highly of him. It makes me mad that his "buddy" Croom makes him look like a complete and utter moron by not allowing him to actually run an offense that would work.

Glad I'm not friends with Croom. Dude would rather throw his buddies under the bus than admit he's wrong about his great WC offense.

It absolutely blows my mind that we would even consider hiring a failed former HC as our OC. WTF is wrong with this football program?

Hell, if we're going to bring someone back, why not Watson Brown?

The ONLY way I would be OK with this is if Rockey is an interim OC.

I don't know about hiring Rocky for OC. Damn, I hope not. But, if Woody gets fired, they will have to design a smoke screen like this one to get Croom out of his "I won't fire an OC" committment.

Byrne: Coach, you are going to fire your OC.

Croom: I promised I wouldn't.

Byrne: Well, he is resigning for health reasons. I know this because if you don't fire him, I am going to go talk to him and this will be the outcome of our conversation. You handle it or I will.

I am not saying this is happening now. But, when it does, it will be something like this.

Damn, I hope it ain't Coach Tech and Ten.

If this is true it is being driven by powers above Croom. I can't imagine them forcing this action and then setteling for Rocky to just continue on in the same way as Woody. I just don't see them (whoever they are) doing this and still allow them same old @#$% to continue.

I remember Felker claiming we wouldn't be predictable.that season. We walked out of the students section booing, and he ripped us in the reflector.

This is the same guy that thought a tie against the #2 ranked plainsmen that year as well. When we scored at the end of the game. We were 3-3, with a shot to win. Felker wants the tie. the PAT was blocked, game over........

stepping down from all of his positions? How could going to practice everyday, watching film and game planing be ok but sitting in a booth and calling plays for 3 hours be the straw that broke the camels back?

If Rocky is OC it may help with the play calling. I stress may.........

that change is coming and they won't be stuck in the same system that is on display this (past five) year(s). I don't want to keep him as OC, but something has to happen soon. Woody can bow out gracefully and we can have a full, season long, national search. Please save us Byrne!

why not Watson Brown?

What was it ----- 12 plays inside the 10 yard line and ZERO points against OM? Never gave the ball to Michael Davis. Why in the hell would we want Watson Brown?

he had that ONE bad moment? What about the fact that he beat LSU by intalling the wishbone in about a week, beat UF and the great Spurrier, and beat Texas twice?

Even though he had that one bad moment, that seems like we're comparing a mountain to a mole hill compared to the piece of **** duo we've got now.
