We had a little fun with all of the polls out there from different publications and I am sure we missed some (let us know others) and of course we will have to factor the VHSL power points into it next week. I think our very own poll maybe the most comprehensive, personally. Wanted to get your thoughts and comments!

District 2 Sports COMPOSITE Super 10
Week of Sept. 25, 2025
We’ve built the most comprehensive high school football poll in the region — the District 2 Composite Super 10. This list blends every major outlet + MaxPreps into one consensus ranking of the area’s top VHSL programs.
Publications included:
Our District 2 Sports Poll-
WSLS 10 / WSLS.com “10 Strong” (09/17 latest)
WDBJ7 Super 7
ABC 13's Football Friday “Football Friday Top 13”
Roanoke Times Sports HSFB Top 10
MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (regional teams only)

Formula used:
-Each team was scored in all six polls.
-If a team did not appear in a ballot, they were assigned 11th place.
-The final ranking is based on the average rank across all polls.
-VHSL schools only (private schools excluded).

Keep in mind: Some publications only cover their specific viewing area, so not every team was eligible for every local ballot. So that is why we gave them a #11 Ranking. Not perfect and will continue to make adjustments. I think since WSLS has not updated their Top 10 that is why you are seeing Glass in there currently.
