I've only been to maybe a dozen different road games so my scope is limited. From my experience, St. Edward in Elgin is tops.

St. Edwards features about 5 different grilling stations in a row. Grill station is elevated for better optics. The grill masters can see the football game from their elevated position. You can see the grill smoke rising from blocks away and the grilling aroma fills the stadium.

They have beer brats actually soaking in beer.
They have trays of sautéed onions and green peppers.
They have steak sandwiches.
Fantastic burgers and dogs.

All of this meets Cat Box recommended standards...
If you see the food and smell the food - you will want to eat the food.
The food was good. The quality presentation made the food excellent!

Montini Catholic is teaming up with Frankie's Deli in Lombard to pay special tribute to Varsity Football Coach, Chris Andriano. In honor of Andriano's 37th year of coaching, Frankie's is naming their Chicago's Best meatball sandwich after the beloved icon - for one special night. The sandwich is justly named, "The Andriano Legend," and will be featured exclusively at the Montini vs. Mt. Carmel game on Friday, October 14th at Duffy Memorial Stadium.

Machesney Park Harlem has an amazing Pork Chop Sandwich, best food in the Rockford area by far.

Proviso West BBQ pit is so amazing they sometimes stop the game so that everyone in the stadium can have a moment to bask in the glory.

Some say they are just waiting for the smoke to clear the field but it is all part of the master plan.

My vote goes to Stark Co. They have a sandwhich called Hog Heaven. It's a pork burger piled high with pulled pork and bacon. The best sandwich I've ever had.

Hard to pass on any of this - pork chop sandwiches at Barrington, pulled pork nachos arc Grayslake North, double bacon cheese burgers at Libertyville.

Choices choices

Pretty sure I saw Lou Malnatis deep dish at Notre Dame Friday. I'll have to investigate further.

Can't ever beat some Aurelio's Pizza (from the Homewood location only), especially when it is being served at an HF Football Game

I've yet to use my $20 Aurelio's card from week 4's Edgy Tim Challenge. What's good there?

I am not sure if you must use your card Aurelio's in Homewood or you can use it at any franchise location, and I know you are not that close coming from the Palatine area, but I highly recommend taking the time to go to Homewood. Some of the franchise locations don't come close to matching the quality of the original.

Once you are there, since you have not eaten at an Aurelio's, the Pizza is a must. I am sure all the other food is good but you have to try their signature piece - The Pizza.

I am a huge fan of their Taco Pizza. A Buffalo Chicken Salad, a Taco Pizza and a frosty beverage from the bar is a good evening. (I sense a road trip coming!)

Also recommend the Works Pizza if you like everything on a pie and the Barbeque Chicken Pizza is good too but you can't go wrong with any Pizza at the Homewood location.

What is even better at Aurelio's is the servers kneel when they take your order as a sign of respect.
