Does anyone know the official rules of when a player has to sit out a game or more? Minnesota’s quarterback was knocked out of last week game against Iowa, so why is he playing today?

Similar subject, Iowa had a blatant late hit / targeting on the Illinois QB yesterday. Knocked him our of the game and it was a clear case of intentional targeting. Nothing called on the field but they reviewed the targeting and said there wasn't any. This impacted if the offender could have played the first held against us. Just a disgraceful lack of a call. This play should be a training film for officials of what intentional targeting looks like.

I don't know the "protocol" that is followed anywhere beyond Nebraska HS athletics, but even their return to play guidelines could potentially get you back in 6-days from a concussion, depending on severity of symptoms.
