Coming up with finalists will be extremely difficult this year. Are state and om limited to 1 candidate?

At this point, this is the easiest choice in the history of the award. That may change by December.

Honestly - 4 should make it from State.

McKinney, Wilson, Robinson, Prescott

I see your 4 and raise you a 5th.

How do you leave out Preston Smith from that group after 3 straight SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week awards?

As evidenced by the results 2 years ago, it matters not who deserves it. The voters are going to pick based on the winner of the Egg Bowl.

There are 5 Bulldogs and 5 Rebels on ESPN's mid-season 1st team All-SEC team. So that's 10 players right there that have a legitimate claim to be deserving of being a finalist for the Conerly in most seasons. You know Dak will be there. The other 2 are a crapshoot among the other 9 players.

Yes, unless they give it jointly to Dak and <insert name>. (JRob, Lewis, Bear, Smith) I did not list any other contenders because it Dak wins the heisman, odds are we won the SEC and made the playoffs. Those other guys would then have amazing stats/years as well.

As biased as media in MS towards scUM is, Wallace will win it. It's named after an scUM player after all. Unless he starts throwing interceptions. Weird if Dak could win Heisman best college player in country but lose Conerly, not best player in MS
