Oh hell... did I just witness a Big XII-3 commercial with all their coaches saying how they play a balanced conference schedule... with one true champion? After watching the compost pile that is Iowa State, I rank that conference as low as B1G. Power 5, my arse.

Since 1992 there have only been 5 of the 22 games where the winner won by 7 or less points. 2 of those have occurred since 1998.
Disagree. Some people like the championship game if they aren't in the Top 4. Second, most CCG's feature two teams in the Top 15 and feature best vs. best. Third, removing the divisions in a 14 team league doesn't provide schedule balance in a single year. Fourth, his 8 team playoff looks like a conference championship bracket!
Every conference eligible for NC should have CCG's. The 5 Power 5 winners plus the two highest ranked at-large and the highest non-power 5 champion fill 4 major bowls (Orange, Rose, Sugar, Fiesta) with no rematches. A committee selects the best two out of the 4 winners for the +1 game. This allows the committee to see them play a formidable OOC opponent on a neutral field before they select the teams.
