Confidence In Pope ?

I didn’t think Mark Pope was the right hire from the get go. 54 years old and a weak resume at best to lead the winningest program of all time. Concerns coming to fruition, quickly.
We have rumors of players fighting and chipping at each other. This goes beyond simply being a poorly constructed team.
I don’t disagree. There’s something off. If he’s a good coach he fixes it. and I haven’t seen enough to say it’s poorly constructed.
I think Pope is a good coach. I think that were more talented on paper than last year. Pope drew up some really good stuff last year. The Duke game coaching was great. I think this team has issues. Like bad issues.
However you can't coach lack of talent. He needs to do a better job of identifying pieces that will fit together and recruiting on the whole to raise the talent level. The roster construction is horrible and it wasn't from lack of money apparently just really bad construction.

I believe in the Coach and his Coaching. I’m not sure he’s prepared to deal with the BS of the players. However that’s part of the job as well. Feels like something is going on internally that if not resolved soon will be the end of the Pope regime. I hope that’s not the case as I like Pope and he proved he can coach last year. He’s going to stop being friends and put them in their place. He needs some of that Pitino fire
Pope just admitted that he wasn't a very good coach in his presser. He said that better coaches can find what needs to be found in this roaster and he's doubting himself. He's very hurt.

It is probably easier to recruit Mormons to play for BYU than recruiting at KY. Pope may be in over his head, unless he is a quick learner.
