Congrats on the win. I've decided I'm starting to like us both kicking ***

The coverage is just awesome, and it's an extra story for them to talk about. I didn't catch much of your game but I bet it was a blast. I was talking to an Aggie friend while tailgating yesterday and he asked how bad we hate State, and my reply was that if we win, I almost sort of want you to win. But if we lost I hoped you would have lost too, if that makes sense. It's a weird-*** time right now, who in the hell saw this coming? I fully believe both of our teams are good enough to run the table, and I did not think that about either before the season.

It makes perfect sense. I can't say I was pulling for y'all to win, but I'm more than OK with you winning since we won too. If we had lost, I'd be pretty pissed that you won.

Even though I want y'all to lose, there is this strange feeling of all of us being in this thing together. The last 7 days, being tied for 3rd were a lot of fun. I hope that stays the same as long as we're both winning.

I dont. In no way do I want to share any of this with those clowns. Little brother can be just that.

i don't get it. I want UM to lose every game they play. Their win last night was painful to watch. I'm not a state of MS college football fan. I am a MSU fan. UM can GTH.

Hard to explain here also. It's like brotherhood has broken out. Cats and dogs living together.

Normally, I'd prefer for the bears to get whipped every game. Normally, I'd prefer they lose the battle of trying to lace up their cleats (this might be happening... after all, trainers do that for them).

But now, I'm finding it strangely OK that you guys win your games. If only because I want us both to have that pristine record come November when we pound your asses into your own recycled tire pellet turf.

Saw this on FB: "A State fan pulling for Ole Miss just because they're from Mississippi is like a Christian pulling for the devil just because he's in the Bible."

As a MSU fan it is my priority to root for what's best for the program. A loss or losses to OM assures our lead alone in the SEC West, so that's what I'm rooting for. Go Vols next week.

I haven't been pissed that Ole Miss is winning, but I am certainly rooting against y'all. I'm sure it's "good for the state as a whole," but I'm not buying into that ****. I understand where you are coming from, but I find it odd for any Miss St fan to root for Ole Miss under ANY circumstances and vice versa.

One thing I have noticed since living out of state, is that it seems more Ole Miss fans are pulling for both teams than Miss St fans pulling for both teams. That's from listening to Bo Bounds and H2H everyday. Seems more UM fans pulling for both teams call in to the show than Miss St fans calling in pulling for both teams.

See, I actually think all this positive press about the state does help

Ad there is definitely more good pub about mississippi since we are both winning. It's not often the state is talked about in such a great light.

Buy / Sell: Flip the script and the condescension is at DEFCON 1.

None of this "oh, it's great for the state", "isn't this lovely", etc. It's a full scale "never as good as Ole Miss", "look at little brother", "flagship", etc. I like OP4, but don't let your OM buds fool you. They aren't interested in sharing any attention. I don't buy it.

I don't disagree

That good pub has come to both programs through each other's success, but the focus has to be on what's best for State in the SEC West race(and I wouldn't expect anything different from an OM fan). While it sounds entertaining, the last thing I want is the Egg Bowl deciding the West, because I honestly don't feel strongly that we will win for sure, and I felt that pessimism well before the season got kicked off.

Definitely agree there. Don't frankly give much thought to Ole Miss one way or the other, but I do respect the hell out of the team they're fielding this year. They're very good. And you know they will be foaming at the mouth when they play us, especially if there's something big on the line for them. So I'd much rather have OM out of the picture, and everything nicely clinched, than face a must-win in Oxford.

Until Thanksgiving UM doesn't get my 17ing attention. That game is a huge rivalry, and it means more than most... when it gets here. Not looking past @UK, @bama, etc. Their success means I can have civil conversations with my friends on the other side without them acting like a Klan of ******** bears.

Then again, if TSUN loses, egg bowl tickets may be cheaper, so... I vote push. Win, lose, until Thanksgiving I don't give a 17.
